I'm confused what do you mean? Did you finish that game?

Agreed, amazing game, truly (I own it for PC and 360) but it's not under the radar, not by a long shot.
Borderlands fell right onto the radar and crushed it.

Then it set the radar on fire, electrocuted it, blew it up and dissolved the pieces with green acid

Twice. I only got it the second time round.

A vault is, in essence, a giant box. It is a giant box on the planet Pandora. It is Pandora's Box. Pandora's Box held all the evil in the world, which, let's face it, an Elder God of destruction covers nicely, don't you think?

Interesting side fact. I have typed the word "box" so many times that I'm beginning to think it's not a real word any more. Huh.

I was going to, anyways. And I'm pretty sure it's a pretty popular game; it's all I've been hearing about lately, alongside Modern Warfare 2.

Wait ...what? Was this before or after it invaded the radars country and oppressed the people with fun co-op and countless gun variations and awesome gameplay?

Whores?

And here I thought that Lilith was searching for more Sirens, and Mordecai was after a dude named Yujinny, and Brick was looking for his sister.

Don't tell me that they're all whores!
Most of the people who describe the vault say whne you find it you'll receive "Weapons, richs, and women".
Spoiler for the ending.
Did anyone else feel ripped off by the ending?
Actually I thought it was pretty hilarious, but the other three people I was playing with were pissed. If you think about it though, if all the best weapons were in the vault, it would probably hurt the replay value as anything you find on your second playthrough would not be as good for at least awhile.

I'm not impressed,

personally, I for now rather stick to Fallout 3.

Why I believe it was right before that. Cut off the head of the snake, so to speak.

Now all the little radars are finally happily frollicking in thier new world of rock solid shooting mechanics, pretty colours and wonderful nerdy stats.

That's a good point. I never though of it that way. As for the of box being a word we can assure you that box is indeed a word.

That's true. I expected something though. The other person I quoted had a good point though. If you get all the good stuff at the end of your first your second wouldn't be worth it.

"under the radar" nothing, it seems to be doing fine to me. I already have it. Good game, by the way.

It's underrated here. Out of 22 students studying video games, TWO of us got it. Our lecturer has an excuse and is going to get it at a later date, but the students? Damn, man! TWO!

We have no idea what the other twenty did in the Reading Week after it came out.

How stupid are the other twenty? Im under 18 and I know what a
BOX ON PANDORA
is

I'm sorry, but some of us prefer games that have more to them than just "ooh, purdy colours!" or "Hurh, him got shotted!". To write off games created by developers who have tried to create an immersive and engaging story as "pretensious" [sic] says more about you than it does them.

How about we come up with reasons why you should NOT get borderlands:

1) First person games bore you, and Windows Solitaire is the best game ever
2) You have to choose between food for your family and the game
3) It's illegal to play where you live

Given that Borderlands was not banned in any country as far as I know, and it's a toss-up on feeding your family or buying the game, I'm out of possible reasons why you should not get borderlands.

lol that's some wicked elemetal anti radar gun you got there.

Fun game? yes
under the radar? not really.
Game of the year? Doubtfull. Arkham Asylum has a much better shot this.

It's a fun game to play while repetitive in single player it is still good fun for short bursts and the best thing I like about it that it in no ways is trying to be Fallout 3 with cellshaded graphics. Even if it shares some resemblance.
I'll play this game some more but I think I'm gonna sink my teeth in Dragon age: Origins. I just like swords better than guns.

borderlands is one of those gems that falls below the radar and becomes a cult classic. Borderlands story (or lack there of) follows mercenaries in search of a vault of money, tech and whores. the lack of story is not a problem as the gameplay is superb, its reminiscent of games that are games and not pretensious and story driven. the graphics aren't pretensious either they are comicesque but pretty. the characters are great the robot at the start cracks me up. But the guns are what this is for, with loads to collect it becomes almost like a pokemon game trying to search for those rare and powerful ones. seriously this game is not to be missed and is very addictive.
Are you serious? The first thing I tried to do was shoot that stupid little robot at the start! And you can't and that sucks... but I am enjoying the rest of the game.

I mean, Sniper Rifles that set your enemies on fire, and grenades which drain their health and gives it to you! How could you not like that! And I'm only level 16! I've got heaps to go!
