We've all played some wierd stuff. If we haven't, we've at least heard of it. I recall hearing of a game where the objective was to kiss a certain girl in town. In order to do this, you have to practice by kissing the other members in town (regardless of gender); after you get enough in the lip-lockpicking skill, you can kiss the girl and win the game. That doesn't sound too wierd on its own, but consider this. One of the characters is a clown that hides in a trash-can. WTF? Also, you need to find items to complete your quest. Sometimes you find and item that damages you. What would do that in a normal game? A bomb, maybe? Perhaps a small enemy? Not here; poop. Seriously. Shit hurts you. God this game is fucked up.

Anyway, what have you lovely people played that makes you question the sanity of the developer?

I believe you're referring to Chulip.

And Stretch Panic is far and away the most bizarre game I've ever played, though Noby Noby Boy is a very close second.

the whole concept behind Katamari Damacy, although entertaining, could be considered rather weird...

There was one flash-games where the aim of the game was to round and collect nudey pics of anime chicks. You could do this by buying them, trading them for drugs or doing favours.

That was weird.

Viva Pinata is probably one of the more bizarre concepts for a game out there.

I've not played it (and I never intend to) but the most messed-up game of all time has got to be RapeLay.

Isn't that essentially any non-dating sim porn game on the Internet?

Weirdest game I've ever played is probably Sanitarium [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanitarium_(videogame)]. Unfortunately, that link doesn't even come close to describing how weird it is.

You play as a guy in a coma, who has to fight his way to wakefulness through a series of crazy dreams, wherein you take the form of his dead little sister, a comic-book character and an aztec warrior. Along the way you discover that the guy you are playing as is a Doctor, and you found out that one of your colleagues has been butchering children to try and find a cure for this awful disease. The last level is a race against time, because the colleague has poisoned your IV and you have to wake up before it kills you.

Levels include a village of mutant children who are being warped by some disgusting plant thing that calls itself "Mother". If the children are bad they get put in the pumpkin patch, where crows peck their eyes out. Another level you are on an island where a travelling circus has been trapped, and you have to try and find your way across to a nearby island and into a house, but on the way you have to fight an escaped freakshow monster called Iggy. Another level, you stumble into the lab of your crazed colleague, and you have to decipher a code from his notes where he describes how he discovers children to be the cure for the disease, whilst being surrounded by numerous butchered dead bodies.

It's a crazy, crazy game.

That actually sounds pretty cool. Was it any good?

Probably, but it was done GTA 1 style.

Hell yes. A pretty old game, so the graphics are horrible, but in terms of storyline, you'll probably never find anything quite like it anywhere else.

Do you suppose it's still available for purchase, or should I *shifty eyes* find other ways of procuring it (/shifty eyes)?

Any game that allows you to turn a woman with huge breasts into a helicopter by tugging her ta-tas with your magic scarf if a-okay in my book.

Obscure kind of freaked me out in the sense of it's bizaarness(?)

I remember that you could die so easily on it. I turned the safety off on a lift so I could go up, and I forgot to turn it back on on the way down. I crushed one of my party members who was under the lift...

Nasty...props to the execution of it though...

There was this game for the NES called A Boy and his Blob, where you threw a blob jelly beans, which would make him change into items like a car jack or a brick wall for a short period of time.

I have to go with Katamari Damacy. It was so simple in concept(roll a ball over things to pick them up), but it was done with such weird style that it was awesome.

Also, dancing pandas next to giant mushrooms = win
