I want it. I want it like a teenage girl wants sparkly vampire to stalk her.
Your new avatar is both cute and funkalicious. I approve.

OT: I'm with the "This will bomb" crowd. Looks... entirely underwhelming.
Thanks, I changed it for teh noms. Your new avatar looks arty.....I smell Photoshop.

OT:

I think this might bomb also, too little interest with the general gaming public. Despite this, I still want it.

Hmm, I'm still on the fence with the WiiU. I never really used my Wii all that much, especially since my Gamecube has the GameBoy Player. I've also just completely overhauled my 9-year old PC so I can play some games my PS3 can't. I think I'll wait until it's released then wait a few months after. It's probably good but I don't have money to throw away now.

Yeah, I use my PS2 and GBA more than my Wii and DS. Probably has something to do with my favourite Final fantasy games being on these two systems. Or PS1.

CAPTCHA: Carbon-copy. Hopefully not, I want a shake up and a change from Ninty.

This time the competitors are following quicker. MS's smartglass thing is probably going to compete well with most aspects of the WiiU. If they can get it to work with the other two major OSes outside there own just about everyone will have a pre-purchased peripheral right there in their pockets.
I don't see the Smartglass following Nintendo in term of gameplay.
Nintendo's gamepad has the touchscreen and buttons in one, smartglass allows you to use a tablet, which doesn't have buttons for gaming.
You would have to use the default gamepad and a tablet in order to do what Nintendo's gamepad on it's own can do.

What if they just like the WiiU? Can we go ahead and start calling you a fanboy of everything you like, just because you like it and we might not?

No need to jump on the person and act like an ass.
That is the sentiment of a lot of people on this forum .. if it is nintendo it has to suck.

As for me i want ZombiU and lego city undercover (i will probably buy the WiiU the moment lego city gets released.

(see post number 4 for how a lot of people on this forum think(also the reason i avoid most nintendo topics))

I think Lego City is a launch title actually...

OT: Yes! I can't wait to hear about it! Unlike a majority of people here, I happen to be in the "The WiiU Will be Fun and successful, but not a Wii Successful" crowd. Call me what you like, but I am just ecstatic about this console. Yes, the Wii disappointed me, but the WiiU Doesn't look like it will repeat that mistake.

An early leaked list had it in the (what nintendo calls) the launch window so should be released within 2 or 3 months after the console goes on sale. I hope it will be available on day 1 (should have up some money now to get it).

I just hope people don't throw another tantrum if Nintendo doesn't show off every franchise they have. The amount of bile thrown at Nintendo during E3 was embarrassing.
i thought we had agreed that E3 in general was embarrassing ?
In general it was, but that includes Sony and MS. Those two didn't have much other than the standard FPS, and nothing really innovative (smart glass isn't innovative but rather an attempt to respond to the WiiU prototype from the prior E3). Nintendo keeps getting weird criticism which boils down to "You didn't have a 'X' franchise title" as if Nintendo should make a new game for each franchise each and every year. Nintendo also kept up with the "we have something under our hate we're not showing" which is usually revealed at E3, but for some reason they don't want the competition to copy it which probably means that whatever "it" is is easy to copy. Nintendo is already doing too much since they've been outsourcing franchise like Metroid Other M because of critics wanting franchise titles too frequently.

you make fair comment but look at the first post in the thread after the OP.

simple fact is i have had to come in and remind people in virtually every news thread ive seen about the Wii U that the tablet controller is not the console because every single report we've had posted never steps outside that inference and at this point im seriously beginning to think it's deliberate because there's no way it could be that consistent otherwise.
You don't HAVE to remind anyone of anything. That first post after the OP is either a joke or a really stupid post, in which case you should have quoted that person and called that person out. I get why you're mad about people bringing up the MS smart glass but in all reality, we still have no clue how actually good the WiiU Tablet will be. I think people are especially skeptical of it since the Wii-Mote was such a horribly used gimmick that any console that markets a peripheral more than the console itself is automatically looked at with caution.

Don't make championing a console you don't know ALL the specific about YOUR duty on these forums. It may come back to burn you. I'm not saying don't be excited for the Wii U, I'm saying that sticking up picture of stuff we know all the details about doesn't help you out.

It's just childish. I personally don't like the looks of the console at all. Not my thing. But I wouldn't jump up and down and be so arrogant to assume people liking something I don't, do it only out of blind worship to a brand.

Important message to angry people: your opinion =/= fact.
What if I told you that people actually have their reasons to not like Nintendo?

the only reason i somewhat champion the Wii U is because these forums are infested with 360 fanboys who like to frame themselves as the only real "hardcore gamers" even tho their supposedly small elite clique went mainstream ages ago to the point its practically a "youth movement" now with probably more than half the kids in any given school in America, their gf, their brother, their dad and their dog all laying claim to being "hardcore gamers" online and i have a really bad habit championing underdogs especially when in this case they are the only true gaming company left in the hardware marketplace.
Last time I checked these forums actually weren't "infested" with any console fanboys. If anything I'd say that those who play the majority of their games on PC are growing in numbers here. But I digress, being called a fanboy is stupid, but if your defence is to call other fanboys right after... you may be proving their point slightly.

So not everyone likes the games nintendo makes , whoopie-frikking-doo.
That doesn't mean people that do like the games are immature brats , retarded , fanboys etc (those are some of the things people that do play nintendo games have been called).

Not everyone likes every game but non arrogant people can respect the fact that some people like stuff that they do not like.

For example i do not like any rockstar games (and yes i tried a lot of them) that doesn't mean i want them to fail or go bankrupt everytime they release a new game.

People act like nintendo killed their family and burned their house. They just make games some people do not like anymore get fucking over it.

E3 was fine; it's a goddamn trade show, not a fan convention. What was embarrassing was people stamping their feet over it and whining about how much it "sucked". Why the HELL do consumers get so invested in it? Is it because not a lot happens in the summer and people don't have patience anymore? Can't they just let it slide and do something constructive instead of acting like children?

Don't know how to say this guys, but... Doesn't anyone think of the Nintendo DS and think 'Wait, what's the point of buying this? I'm just going to get the same shitty games, just on another shitty platform?'

Or maybe I'm being biased against the Wii because I've preferred the GameBoy and DS. Either way, I don't understand why I could want a miniature cinder-block instead of my little 'lite' DS. It's a bit like asking me 'Jack, you Hipster! Would you rather a PSP Vita or a laptop with a bad graphics card BUT with steam?' (I couldn't think of an equal). Either way, I'd rather the Vita (DS) over the Laptop (Wii(on)U).
