What if I told you that people actually have their reasons to not like Nintendo?
So not everyone likes the games nintendo makes , whoopie-frikking-doo.
That doesn't mean people that do like the games are immature brats , retarded , fanboys etc (those are some of the things people that do play nintendo games have been called).

Not everyone likes every game but non arrogant people can respect the fact that some people like stuff that they do not like.

For example i do not like any rockstar games (and yes i tried a lot of them) that doesn't mean i want them to fail or go bankrupt everytime they release a new game.

People act like nintendo killed their family and burned their house. They just make games some people do not like anymore get fucking over it.
Mix up some Ovaltine and relax. This is the kind of reaction I'm talking about. The instant defensive rage.

Getting defensive about being generalized as a fan is one thing, but you just threw a generalization back at anyone who's not a fan of Nintendo. Kind of makes you look silly.

What if they just like the WiiU? Can we go ahead and start calling you a fanboy of everything you like, just because you like it and we might not?

No need to jump on the person and act like an ass.
That is the sentiment of a lot of people on this forum .. if it is nintendo it has to suck.

As for me i want ZombiU and lego city undercover (i will probably buy the WiiU the moment lego city gets released.

(see post number 4 for how a lot of people on this forum think(also the reason i avoid most nintendo topics))
It's just childish. I personally don't like the looks of the console at all. Not my thing. But I wouldn't jump up and down and be so arrogant to assume people liking something I don't, do it only out of blind worship to a brand.

Important message to angry people: your opinion =/= fact.
What if I told you that people actually have their reasons to not like Nintendo?
So? I'm confused... I'm arguing that it's stupid when people assume because they dislike something, anyone that likes it must be a fanboy.

People can dislike or love anything they want. But when they cross the line and think that if they dislike something, it's impossible for others to genuinely like it? I take offense.
it depends on the way you make your point. The way you're championing the Wii U seems a bit fanboyish. You seemingly have made it your duty to defend Nintendo on this thread.

I'm just saying that not everyone who dislikes Nintendo wants them to go bankrupt.

In general it was, but that includes Sony and MS. Those two didn't have much other than the standard FPS, and nothing really innovative (smart glass isn't innovative but rather an attempt to respond to the WiiU prototype from the prior E3). Nintendo keeps getting weird criticism which boils down to "You didn't have a 'X' franchise title" as if Nintendo should make a new game for each franchise each and every year. Nintendo also kept up with the "we have something under our hate we're not showing" which is usually revealed at E3, but for some reason they don't want the competition to copy it which probably means that whatever "it" is is easy to copy. Nintendo is already doing too much since they've been outsourcing franchise like Metroid Other M because of critics wanting franchise titles too frequently.
E3 was fine; it's a goddamn trade show, not a fan convention. What was embarrassing was people stamping their feet over it and whining about how much it "sucked". Why the HELL do consumers get so invested in it? Is it because not a lot happens in the summer and people don't have patience anymore? Can't they just let it slide and do something constructive instead of acting like children?
Actually, it's not a trade show about the "summer" as your comments are implying. It's supposed to set the tone for the entire year. When you have fewer games to the point where people don't see much more than FPSs for 2 of the 3 systems that's a bad sign which was a prelude to the current summer slowdown. The current slowdown isn't a seasonal trend as you're implying. It's the industry slowing down by 20% in new title releases when compared to LAST summer. Which would be like Hollywood going from a 3 - 4 movie releases a week to 1 a month. People don't buy games when their isn't much to buy, and their is very little suggesting that this drought is going to end. The WiiU will at least be a bit of sunshine on an otherwise bleak landscape.

Why?

Why now, Nintendo?

Say what you want but the smart thing to do was to announce it at E3. Sure, E3 is not what it used to be but hey, for all intents and purposes, it's the most well-known videogame expo. Just a date and a price. That's all. Same show you did, just add a date and price. Doesn't take you more than 30 seconds, Nintendo. By now, you have plenty of people still buying your outdated Wii because they hear this thing about the Wii 2 but they don't know what it does (Alright, that one's their fault) or when it comes out or the price. And they don't like to wait indefinitely for a console. So screw that, they say, and they buy a Wii that they will probably keep for a couple of years or until their kids get tired of it and get a PS3 or a 360 instead.

I still think Nintendo is just being gimmicky. The games don't really appeal to me; I've seen better, or the same, games for the other consoles. To me, the big N has lagged behind and they won't be able to catch up, even if they had released the WiiU a decade ago. It's sad; Nintendo was the best at what they did. now they're just being lazy while attempting to be hip and cool.

Having said that, if anyone's looking forward to this console, cool deal. I respect whatever reasons they have to look forward to this console. And they are still the only true gaming company out there, for better or worse. So godspeed, I guess.
