You what sucks?
Nintendo is a japanese company and yet the release in japan comes last....
Better for us, with does that suck at all?

Its a change. I like it.

On a sidenote, why does Nintendo choose so retarded names for their consoles... I dont really like "WII U" Its starting to look nerding saying that. Or maybe its just me.
First of all, I am making horrible typos today. :(

It sucks because I feel totally left out of the hype.
It's a lonely feeling. LOL

And yeah, I think Japanese companies suck at naming their products.
Cars have sucky names too.

I'm actually kind of surprised, to be honest.
I thought there was so much uncertainty surrounding the console itself that people wouldn't initially be willing to buy on launch or pre-order, but I guess I've been proven wrong.

Yeah, that's why I kept my PS2 (and three PSX's, for that matter) along with all my other consoles, but sadly all but the three current gen consoles are currently at my parents house because I move around too much to lug all these extra consoles and games along with me :( The only thing I ever use my Wii for is to play Gamecube games because they're a million times better than anything that came out on the Wii because none of them have those awkwardly inserted Wiimote wiggles and spastic hand-jiving. (I agree with you about RE4 though, it's the only game I was willing to re-buy for the Wii, but is demonstrable of how the Wii's 'innovative' control system is basically good only for swinging a sword or aiming a gun.)

Halo bores me to tears, no matter how much I try I cannot get into it, but I like Gears of War because it has some nice set pieces and the locations are pretty varied for that type of game; but I enjoy things like Uncharted and Infamous a lot more. When my first 360 broke I did the towel trick and it actually worked, but I sold it the very next day before it could break again so I don't know how long the fix lasted.

I definitely think Sony caters most to those of us who still don't give a shit about multiplayer, since the only one of their exclusives with multiplayer I can think of is Uncharted and they clearly put more effort into the story mode than the multi. Plus, I still think that the Playstation controller is the comfiest and most aesthetically pleasing controller that's ever existed, so whenever I'm getting a multi-platform game I'll always opt for PS3.
Yeah it really did, and even then it was poorly used for FPS's imo I never could get comfy with the aiming. I don't have many gamecube games I'm on the lookout for retro stuff a lot though, especially bargains for the Dreamcast, I love that thing too much I swear.

Halo is playable in co-op with friends but others yeah, it'd bore me senseless. Gears was mechanically sound and okay to play but the aforementioned boss did my head in. That fix doesn't last long from what I hear, but oh well.

\Yes Sony do, though Killzone and Resistance are both big multiplayer things, both I do like a lot. Resistance 3 in particular caters well to people who aren't big on multi, it has great couch co-op and a great campaign that's easy to replay and ejoy over and over. Has cheats and everything xD. A lot of Sony stuff does have multiplayer, but it also tends to have great single playr or co-op experiences too.

I also agree on the controller front, of the current gen the dualshock 3 (just bought a red one!) is easily the most comfortable for me and my small hands, the 360 pad is too big and chunky and feels cheap and plasticy. The wii classic pro is just uncomfortable and stiff.

On Uncharted I enjoyed the second a lot, but the third is one of maybe 5 games that has ever induced a rage quit from me, and that was in single player, there's a bit on a boat, in like a ball room or something, with grenade launchers and shotguns and laser eyed snipers and god it felt so badly designed at that point.

InFamous on the other hand was outstanding and so was the sequel, I adored both of them, the story was great and it was so much fun. Astoundingly pretty games too. Though I didn't finish my good playthrough of 2 and had the good ending spoiled on this very site not 3 months after the game came out. No spoiler tags or anything, just screenshots of the good ending. Was not amused.

The Dreamcast is probably the most under-rated console ever, sadly I can't get it to work with my current television :(

Yeah, Resistance 3 is a shining example of a console FPS done properly; there's so much replay value for both single player and multiplayer.

I remember the exact bit you are talking about in Uncharted 3, it was one of the most frustrating things I've ever done; but the sandstorm battle was far worse I thought (how is it possible for an enemy that can't even see to hit you with a perfect aim every single time!)

That sucks about Infamous 2; I only played it this year but luckily I had heard nothing about the story so it went unwasted. I don't know if I'll ever play the first one since I'm so used to the little tweaks the sequel added.

It's funny, the more we're talking the more I remember how many great exclusives the PS3 has: I'd completely forgotten that Ratchet & Clank is an exclusive, and it's easily my favourite series of all time.

If you're having trouble with the leads for your TV have you tried picking up a component cable for it and a scart adapter for that? cuz that's how I have so much hooked up to a tiny 22 inch tv, scart splitters. Cost me around £7 I think to get my DC to work with my current tv?

Yeah I gave up at the bit I'm talking about, to be fair I was on hard, but fuck off, a challenge is one thing but it just pissed me off too much to be worth continuing, I only borrowed my brothers copy tbh.

The first is pretty good but the second improved pretty much everything that was wrong with it, I look forward to whatever sucker punch do next. Not to mention the new Sly game that';s being developed by Sanzaru.

I used to love R&C until this generation, the current gen R&C games have been so disappointing for me, a crack in time was decent but the others were painfully mediocre, I think the first and number 3 are definately my favourites in the series. I loved Jak & Daxter too I'd love to see that make a comeback in some way that isn't a crappy spin off.

Actually Sony have done something that pissed me off, they had Ape Escape 4 listed for years, then when they actually bothered to release info on it it was just a pile of crappy motion control minigames ): I fucking love Ape Escape too.

My favourite series is probably Sonic xD I grew up with an old mega drive and like 6 games.

I guess I can't say I'm surprised by this. I just kinda don't like the idea of the system, but that's just me. Also, I hated the Wii. Motion controls are garbage, a lot of the games were pretty gimmicky, and I could just never get into em. And it couldn't play DVDs!

If sales at the retail establishment I work at are any indication, it wouldn't be hard to outsell the Vita.

The PSP is probably still outselling the Vita.
We could do a whole thread with jokes of "Things outselling the Vita"

Now it's sold out in Sears, KMart, Target, and Toys R Us. It's only available online in Wal-Mart (As Both), and Gamestop (as Basic Model only).

Wii U's finally out? Dang. I'd love to get one. Plenty of stuff coming out that I definitely want to buy.

Yep. Even Beyonetta 2!
