Well that was originally planned when Free Radical was still making it. Video is preety bad quality but I don't have a better one.

No this game had you play as more or less anything from the starwars universe that was a troop, like storm troopers or droids and you killed the enemy until they ran out of tickets and you won

I only played battlefront 2 rarely at a friends house so I am desperate to play a new 1, I would get battlefront 2 but I have heard it doesn't like windows 7 (same as kotor, which I never got a chance to play either!)

It had space combat in it, so it could be the game he is thinking about.

OT: I really hope it is Battlefront 3, although like others, I am skeptical about the developer.

As someone on Youtube also pointed out, it could be Lost Planet 3 although this seems pretty unlikely as Capcom would most likely develop the game themselves. I guess the only thing to do is wait and see. I hope it isn't another X-Com.

Edit: Ah, well it is obviously a Star Wars game by looking at Spark's tweet. So it pretty much is Battlefront 3 then unless for some reason we are getting another Jedi Knight game.

I wouldn't get my expectations up. I will, however, get my hopes up. A new Battlefront game utilizing the new visual and mechanical advancements of this generation would be beyond amazing.

No, I just looked up same gameplay footage. Some levels have you running around on the ground (as the troops, blowing shit up) But some other levels were in space, where you got your little droid or rebel or whatever into a ship and tried to take down those imperial cruisers, or rebel things, or droid things. And you get to be a Jedi or Sith or other main character if you do well enough in a match.

So maybe your guess was right. I can't think of many other non FPS/TPS retro Star Wars games. Well...aside from Super Star Wars.

I've been fooled before with "oh, it's not Battlefront 3, it's just a Battlefront game for a handheld console but no one else", but I seriously hope this is Battlefront 3. Playstation 3, PC, whatever game system, I'd buy it. Hell, I would pre-order it the instant it became available. Battlefront 2 was the first game I played in a game generation beyond the SNES. I still play it quite a bit. Battlefront 3 equals a dream come true.

Yeah, even if it's BF3, it won't live up to my expectations, probably, but it would be exciting to see it come along. ^_^

Edit: Ah, so it's not BF3. Shame. Oh, well.

Far as I can tell, it's just Xcom...which people have known about for awhile.

Edit: Turns out it's a different Xcom title, that's actually a strategy game instead of whatever the other one is.
