Either wings, a prehensile tail, or the genitalia of a barnacle. Relative to my size of course.

If they were functional I'd take wings ,provided that I don't have to sacrifice my arms (I like my arms way to much). It would be funny to climb to the roof of a really tall building, yell something like "I can't go on!" then jump off and fly away, after a short dive.

Between a choice of wings or a tail, I'd go with tail. Despite the appeal of flight, wings would mean extensive modification to clothing or a complete lack of a shirt. Tails are less of an obstruction, especially if one could tie it around one's race like a Saiyan. Besides the aspect of physical space, having a prehensile tail to serve as a third hand would prove more useful to me than flight, seeing as how I'm not big on travel or the outdoors.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and ask for double-lidded eyes. Y'know, like desert snakes have. If I had limited-capacity gills (think the inverse of a lungfish) or night vision to go with it, that would be...well, I don't really have a word for it, but it would be cooler than a refrigerator lodged inside an iceburg floating in the arctic circle waters during a nuclear winter wearing sunblock and drenched in Scottish rainwater. Seriously. I'd be like a one-man SEAL unit.

If you had wings you would lose your arms.

OP:
I do not want ANY animal adaption, humanity is perfect in it's evolution in my opinion.
... Seriously? I know most of us don't really need to be super fast or strong, considering our lifestyle, but still, as far as physical prowess goes, humanity is pretty pathetic overall. I'd hardly call that perfect.

Personally, I'd rather have the senses of an animal than one's physical traits. Super-hearing, mostly.
The senses are a tolorable change I suppose but to actually change us physically will make us no longer human.
Humanity is the greatest thing in existance in my opinion and I am very stubborn in that opinion, no-one has ever been able to convince me otherwise.
But when we make it to space with Intersarcinism, we'll have sooner or later access to every kind of alien genetic material... And restricting it's "use" for the enhancement of human capabilities would hinder human progress, wouldn't it? *scratches head*
I mean, when it's made available for everyone, just think of it as synthetic evolution...
Genetic engineering on it's own is a human achievement...

OT:
I would go with the mane of a lion, just for the sake of being epic.

I'd go for wings, assuming of course that they can function without taking the place of my hands. Otherwise, generic increases to muscle density and bone strength are where I'd go.

Depends... if it physically somehow possible: wings, surely. But i know they would need to be HUGE and i would need to cram my face full of sugar all the time to power them. Not very good. If they work like a deus-ex-machina superpower: K.

Hm... overall i don't know what i would like to have: Human muscles are nearly the best, our brain is, our eyes (and even most other senses) are great. stamina, longelivity, all top par. Ah maybe i could learn some tricks to extend my life? from some turtles or something? Without slowing me down? Or some regeneration of lower class animals - some salamander was pretty good with that, or not?

Ah well... can't decide now and here... if some wishgranting superthing offers i would research my answer.

Actually, humanity is crafted to be endurance runners, that's why we're bi-pedal (uses less energy, lets us run farther a sacrifice of speed), hairless (lets us stay cool, compared to most animals) because the main way we hunted before the advent of weapons was by chasing things until they died of heat-stroke and/or exhaustion.

Seriously, no other animal could run a marathon, or do any of the other crazy endurance tests we do. So in our own way, we're pretty badass.

OT: I'd go for a prehensile tail. Could come in handy.

A cheetah's speed would be pretty awesome, imagine sprinting at 60 mph, almost nothing beats that.

Adapt my color, like a chameleon or cuttlefish. Would be awesome. Bit creepy though.
Chameleons adapt their color based on their mood, not as an active effort to camouflage themselves, unless I'm mistaken.

Also, I imagine a tail would cause wardrobe complications. Would you have to cut a hole in your pants?

But anyway. If I had to pick just one animal trait, I might go for the muscle density of something like an orangutan or a chimp. They're really goddamn strong.
