Some form of venomous bite would be nice, like a Kommodo Dragon (not sure if they have venom or if it's the amount of bacteria in their mouths that cause deadly infections from bites). Bear like strength would come in handy, with crocodile like scales for armour.

I'm sure they'd take me down pretty quickly once I started, but the death and carnage I would cause would be awesome. Chavs would mourn it as "da day dat we woz 'ad by da big lizard bear thing who took out da job centa so we can't get our dole money"

A pistol shrimp's ability to stun things with it's claws.
But, because I won't give up my hands I'll have to be careful while applauding.

It's the amount of bacteria in their saliva. Just so you know =]

I would like to be able to hibernate like a bear until America gets it's crap together and stops spending itself into oblivion.

I want the telekinetic powers of the lemur.

What? You telling me the lemur doesn't have telekinetic power?

I'd get wings if I kept my arms. Otherwise, I'd just take eyeshine so I could see better in the dark.

I would like either wings (though I'm not sure if they could carry my body weight), claws, a prehensile tail, camoflauge, things like that.

Gills.

Depends... if it physically somehow possible: wings, surely. But i know they would need to be HUGE and i would need to cram my face full of sugar all the time to power them. Not very good. If they work like a deus-ex-machina superpower: K.

Hm... overall i don't know what i would like to have: Human muscles are nearly the best, our brain is, our eyes (and even most other senses) are great. stamina, longelivity, all top par. Ah maybe i could learn some tricks to extend my life? from some turtles or something? Without slowing me down? Or some regeneration of lower class animals - some salamander was pretty good with that, or not?

Ah well... can't decide now and here... if some wishgranting superthing offers i would research my answer.
There is actually a jellyfish species that can revert back to its youth at will, and continue its life cycle infinite times. Its basically imortal. You could stop inbetween, but youd retain your memories and knowledge and wouldnt have to go to school.

Personally, I think I'd take gills, nice and simple. In addition to my lungs, of course, and with the additional circulatory system to go along. Like a lungfish. Be able to stay underwater for as long as Id like, be a pretty beast swimmer... Itd be pretty cool just being able to go deep and not worry about air.

I would have to question the practicability of wings, and the possibility that using them would put immense stress on the human body. At least if I had a prehensile tail, I could tickle myself with it for hours of amusement.

I would go with a prehensile tail for sure.

Oh look! A crowd! I will follow them!

Wings.
Because I would need to get much fitter than I am now to actually use them to any great extent like flying, it would definitly prompt me to work out and eat right more so that I could use them.

If we evolved naturally then the nest stage (or stages if we split) would carry on our legacy.
However in my opinion, if our evolution was our own doing then Humans would still be the ones that hold our greatness as they created the next stage.
So we agree here? In my opinion, given the appropriate technology and knowledge of the consequences, we should aim at improving the course of our evolution, or changing it in a better direction. I mean, we already speak of the greatness of humanity, wouldn't that prove the triumph of humanity's will?

I am not a cat person, but i think the most simplistic animal trait i would want to have would be the feline grace cats have during the night. I would be able to see when others cant and be able to go crazy and trick people.
I know what you mean.

Cats have it so easy, I swear.
