"Winnie the Pooh" hits theatres July 2011

Few voices are obviously different and humor is slightly modernized, but at least Disney is trying!!!! I will definitely give the movie a chance, since I loved and grew up watching The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Apart from Pixar, Disney's 2D movies have always seemed to shine and have more charm than 3D. I mean look at Princess and the Frog vs Tangled......

I think I might go see it, drag my friends along for the ride...cause I don't know what it is about college, but I pulled out all my old disney movies recently and have been watching them...I'm such a loser...

You would actually fit in quite nicely with my group of friends.

I loved the original book, so refreshingly witty and such a different and simple view on life. I reckon I'll go see this on the pretence of watching it with my little sister... >_>

I've always been a casual fan of disney's Winnie the Pooh I suppose. But then I saw the Soviet Russian version and it blew me away!

And I'm not joking either, it really does exist:

That was really cool. I haven't read the original A.A. Milne books since I was a small child, but for some reason this adaptation struck me as a word for word translation. If I had access to the books right now, I'd go back and check.

OT: I can't wait for this movie. If it's set for a 2011 release, I'll be 21 when it comes out. It doesn't matter, I'm going to watch it. Frankly, I don't care if I have to go alone -- I will see this film in the theater. For anyone who knows my movie watching habits, that's saying something.

That said, here's a bit of trivia: Pooh has the same voice actor as Minsc. That Minsc. Think about that for a while.

I loved winnie the pooh but I'm not going to watch a new movie. My kid will that's for damn sure.
