Just post what you wanna see in it and cmoment on others. One thing that needs to return is the spice of romance scenes. I don't want it to be like actual porn, but, ya know, a little more...how can I put this delicately...action? Second, I need to see some female and male members of each species, I'm still trying to picture a lady turain. Finally, I would like a child character. Not as in Shepard has a kid or the child is a baby or like 8 years old, more of a child soldier. This is the future people, if Shepard can be brought back from the dead after burning through a planet's atmosphere, it shouldn't be hard to imagine a child soldier program. Maybe one created by Cerebus as an elite corps of grunts born and built for the oncoming Reaper onslaught, or one started by the Council in secret to create Spectres trained in all disciplines by age 18 and has a genetic code consisting of the beneficial attributes of each species(like %5 asari for biotics, %10 krogan for combat and the ability to sustain more than two organs(a human with four lungs would be a powerful runner) and thes other %85 human or whatever species). Maybe we can evolve fromthe aspect of just relationship between to people to be something like Shepard being a father. I know this might wound dumb, but maybe romances could develop more if a character reacts well with the child or helps him or a friendship could become stronger if he sends the child to someone like Garrus for sniper training. Personally, I believe that including a child character in that kind of role could grow some real maturity in the game industry and the game itself.

So what so you think/want?

1) A plot that isn't bathed in stupid and badass.
2) Gameplay that isn't boring and so heavily cover-based.
3) A nice trip to The Illusive Man's base and shoot him right in his damn head.
4) Remove the god damn Paragon/Renegade system already. Its stupid and limits choices. Or it would, if ME1/ME2 gave you much choice to begin with.
5)Companion banter like in Dragon Age. Seriously, just do this. It fleshes out the characters, makes it seem like they do more than just sit in their area and faff about. Its just delightful.
6) If your going to have a reaper posess a mook and shout taunts, make sure he has more than 4 and doesn't repeat them ALL THE FUCKING TIME.
7) Planet exploration. The planets from ME1 with the Hammerhead from ME2. And the planets are actually interesting.
8) More open levels. Or at least more levels that look open. ME2 suffered from a bad case of "corridor shooter". So did ME1, but at least the levels looked open and interesting.
9) Male Shepard has some actual emotions.
10) Companions that don't want to have hot sex with me after 3 conversations.
11) Your choices amount to more than just a few more/less emails.
12) Companions comment about things throughout missions, like in Dragon Age. Adds character and is amusing to listen to.
13) Certain missions that have special outcomes depending on which companions are following you, like in Dragon Age 2.
14) More hairstyles already!
15) Return to the more "sci-fi" soundtrack of ME1, rather than the "meh" orchestral stuff that was in 2.
16) No DRM(fat chance of that happening...)
17) If you must have "badass", put more of it into conversations. Example: In ME2 on the Citadel, the one reporter(who you can punch in the first game), paragon option when she asks you to respond about saving/killing the council. You just rip her apart with your words. And it is AWESOME.
18) No giant end-boss fight. It'll just look really, really silly(human reaper, space-ogre... lol)
19) Bring back the stats and upgrading of weapons/armor. It brings a sense of progression. In the beginning you couldn't do much, but at the end you were totally fucking awesome. Thats a great thing. Better than being awesome all the time, which gets boring and stale after a while. Just keep the upgrading restricted to the ship so you don't have to deal with a cluttered inventory.
20) Easter-eggs/hidden goodies are always fun and delightful. Can't hurt. If you include planet exploration, thats a great place to put them.
21) Bring back the elevators, just make them faster. They're better than the immersion-killing loading screens. And make the galaxy feel, well massive. And big. Again, just make them faster, which would mean optimizing the engine more. Or something.
22) More interesting classes. Vanguard and Infiltrator were fine, but every other class devolved into a cover-based shooter. With you sitting behind cover, shooting/casting powers at any enemy who pops their head up. And that is boring.
23) Don't bind every power to a single god damn cooldown. Give each power their own cooldown, and just make the cooldowns short.
24) Bring back the unlimited ammo please. And the overheating thing. Just allow us to cool our weapons off faster by holding what was reload. This also stops weapons which shouldn't have standard heat sinks(*cough*collectors*cough*) from having them and thus creating a tiny plot hole.

And yeah, those are my wishes. Or demands. Or hopes. Whatever you want to call them.

A very nice list, but these are the ones I agree with most (especially the ones in bold).
Sadly, I don't have much hope for the soundtrack even coming close to the first game. The first game's soundtrack gives me a feeling of wonder while also making me feel like a tiny piece in a huge universe. Mansell's work just seems to be made for action movie chase scenes.

And I too missed the elevators in the first game. Remember how huge the Citadel was? So you could come from a meeting with the council, go down to the Presidium and Wards, then take the elevator up to the docking bay and enter the decontamination room of the Normandy and never see a single traditional loading screen that entire time. I loved that. Visiting the Citadel in Mass Effect 2 was actually my biggest disappointment in the game. That was the one environment I was hoping to revisit again as it was.

Anyway, I have a few hopes of my own.

1) Fewer or no Heavy Mechs. I'm sick of these things. They were used as a kind of "boss fight" in Mass Effect 2 so many times that they lose their intimidation. I loved it when I was fighting some giant alien plant (even though I know I was actually just mowing down creepers and an Asari clone). Sending the big robot (or the gunship, for that matter) at us over and over is kind of a cop-out.

2) Revisit side quest plots from the first two games. I went out of my way to scan all those Keepers in a dozen different playthroughs, dammit. That email doesn't satisfy me. There are smaller plots that I want closure or expansion on.

3) Give the Reapers some sort of sympathetic quality. Saren became a great villain on Virmire, when we found out that he's terrified and truly believes his way is the only way to save organic life. The Collectors became far more interesting when we found out that they could represent our future. I don't know how you do this with the Reapers, but if they are going to be the principal villain (the one you have the most meaningful encounters with), then we need to be able to at least see their view even slightly (even if we don't agree and can still hate them).

4) Don't restart Shepard. The leveling system in Mass Effect 2 was shallow. But perhaps it could redeem it some if they build on it. Don't strip away the abilities we gained in the second game. Add to them. We have the save carry-over, so why not use it for this?

This reminds me of my biggest complaint about ME2. And I can't believe I forgot it.

For Mass Effect 3, give us a strong antagonist to go against. Saren was a fantastic villain. The moments you encountered him were some of the best moments in the game(the last conversation if you can convince him to do a certain something through paragon/renegade options is easily the strongest point of the series). Harbinger did not cut it. At all. Mainly because you spend a third of the game dominating him, which removes any and all threat he could have had. Yes in both games you fought against a pretty bland larger enemy(Geth in ME1 weren't that interesting. Only started to get interesting in ME2. And the Collecters were just majorly "meh", apart from a particular reveal. But that reveal was in the worst part of the game, so it lessened the impact).

Give us someone that challenges us, someone that makes us think, someone that isn't one-sided. It would make the game so much better.

Elcor team mate & romance option. Ok, maybe not the romance option, but Elcor freakin rule and i want them to play a bigger part.

Also, i'd like to kill off Ashley/Kaiden, which ever one i didn't kill in ME1.... they suck.

I would like to see full squad customization return like in ME1, as well as the heat based mechanic (or at least an option for it).

More varied combat would not hurt, possibly fewer enemies that are quite tough to take down.

More weapons and armour, I loved having many many guns, mods, and armour suits to choose from. I could very much tailor a Sheppard to my play style. (Cryo VII, Kinetic Coil IX on my sniper for example)

Better tech powers! The tech powers in ME1 were very powerful compared to those in ME2 which I only found myself using when low on ammo. I would just have a teammate overload and shoot. Sabotage and damping actually made sense to use yourself, especially when at a high level.

Lastly, Carnage. (specialty weapon modes) Carnage with 2x scramrail VIII and HE VIII ammo.

Batarians first! Seriously, I'm a big fan of the Batarians, and I'm really wanting to have them played up a bit. We at least need a companion one.

I only want one thing:

Make the game MASSIVE! I truly miss the planet exploration...it made the world seem so big! I don't care if the game is on 12 discs just give me this...

My biggest wish is a proper villain. I've said it many times, but Saren absolutely made the first game for me. The absence of a villain like him was deeply felt.

Other than that, just have a better story, Mass Effect 2 suffered from middle act-idus. The first one ranks as my all time favorite game, and that's because it had a strong, self contained story.

Game play is important, sound is important, scenery is important, but story and characters are critical to Mass Effect (for me at least.)

I kinda disagree. As long as the Reapers were some transcendent state of existence, I think leaving their reasons a mystery heightens how frightening they are.

Of course, now that the Reapers are holding grudges and targeting Shepard (and making that stupid robot) that ship has completely sailed, you're probably right.

1. More Hannar conversations. How many were there in Mass Effect 2, the big fat #0?

And on that note, Blasto for Squadmate.

2. An ending that represents the post-romance. I do want to build Tali that home on Rannoch.

3. Continue the epic space battle cinematics. I wouldn't think they wouldn't include another, especially being the ending of the trilogy, but you never know.

4. Let me tell off more racist aliens, or better yet shoot them, ESPECIALLY if they're on the citadel. I'm a spectre after all, no one can touch this. Let everyone know racism ISN'T COOL. COME AT ME BRO.

5. Mordin comes back AND we get another salarian squadmate. Shepard rollin' with his lizard people.

Am I the only one that feels like Zaeed could have easily been Batarian. I mean, if they do add a batarian, then I want him to be like Zaeed with more character development.

Also, what does everyone have against the reload function. I mean besides the plot hole they create, I think they work. When has anyone ever run out of thermal clips? I still fire in quick bursts anyway, so I don't see that big a difference.

Please don't flame me, that's just my opinion.

What I really want, is to not have half the story be released as frakin DLC. I mean Cheesus Mice, I spent money on an Ethernet cable so I could spend more money on the DLC. Not to mention buying the game new so I could get the Cerberus network card. Don't be greedy Bioware.

And no spoilers about death being the end game. It would have been awesome if I got to the end of mass effect 2 unaware of the death factor and blew of upgrading.

I'll probably think of more later.

* Antagonist. Don't try to make me sympathize with the Reapers, but flesh them out. They aren't supposed to be human, just Lovecraftian space horrors. That's good. A humanoid antagonist is good too, like Saren.

* Inventory system. Self-explanatory.

* Skill trees. Just.. have more than ME2, that's all I ask.

* Lesbian/Gay options. Self-explanatory.

* More consequences. Make the companion system more complex, romances are more interesting if they're more difficult to attain.

* Lots and lots of plots. Sidequests. All that good stuff.

* Less grimmdark.

* More Quarians. They're awesome.

* More cities/fewer arenas. Basically, let me go to some places that are something more than combat settings.

* Use DA2's dialogue wheel icons. Those worked quite well.

* Don't do that thing again. You know what I mean.

MAKE USE OF SHEPARD'S PROTHEAN MIND! (like maybe the Reapers sent an indoctrination signal through the beacon so that any remaining Protheans would go crazy, and if any later species happened upon it, they'd be a free mind slave. It'd be a good way to explain the collector mess since they could just say the signal was damaged at some point, and they could use Shepard's possessing this dormant indoctrination for something.)
gay sex because everyone knows space turns you gay.
the ammo system is ontop of the ME1 weapons (run out of ammo, gun switches to heat bar)
More Hanar because they know more about the protheans than anyone.
More Quarians/Geth plot and Haestrom resolution because in ME2 I'd have rather ignored the collectors and resolved those tensions
A Vorcha teammate
A Volus to shoot because aside from a biotic attack, they've never entered combat.
a Rachni teammate
Removal of all the Cerberus logos from everything
let me keep my collector beam cannon
No planet scanning
more exploration/faffing about.
Female aliens aside from Asari and Quarians.
have Shepard do some commanding
A badass tranquil mage/Sandal teammate, wait, wrong game.
