Shit to Hit The Fan, If I recall correctly, Mass Effect is designed to be a trilogy, so Mass Effect 3 is going to tie it all together, so shit is going to go crazy. Are the Reapers going to make there entrance? I don't know, but I hope they do, at least to some point. That means almost everything that the galaxy knows will change, and it will set up many of the other things I want to see.

Familiar Faces, I want everyone back. I would love to see everyone(thats still living) available for a squad member. Thats from both games, Ashley, Wrex, Garrus, Thane, everyone! It would be freaking awesome, and the doomsday scenario caused by the Reapers return would make everyone make sense, I doubt the Alliance would deny Ashley from joining Shepard, and Wrex would almost definitely fight with Shepard with the rest of Urdnot behind him. The list goes on and on, it would be very easy story wise to have damn near everyone back that isn't already dead.

A New Ship, I think it would be pretty cool if Shepard was given a new ship. The Normandy SR2 took quite a beating in Mass Effect 2, and depending on your upgrades, it might not be quite fit for duty, and with the new evidence, it would quite easy to get a ship from the Council or the Alliance. Of course it would have to be some top of the line experimental craft, maybe a new Cruiser? Not essential, but it would be nice.

Continuing and New Romances, In the first game I chose the romance option with Ashley, the character appealed to me more than Liara, and more than any of the female Mass Effect 2 characters as well, so I did not use the romance option in that game because I knew that the romance would Ashley would be back in the third title, and I wanted the story to go like that. So I really hope that romances will be continued with all characters, and new ones would be quite good as well.

Huge Battles, If there is going to be some kind of Reaper invasion or something of the like, that means that there can be no denying, and all the species will fight. That means there may be huge battles on the ground and in space, so it would be nice to be able to participate in them.

Bring Back Some RPG Elements, I would love to see Bioware find the middle ground between what they used in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. Maybe reintroduce weapon mods that are not treated as a combat power? A greatly expanding the armory from ME2, but not as many as ME1 would be a big improvement. . I would also like to see more areas that were like Noveria where many choices and paths could be taken, as well as having the great combat segments from ME2. The small details go on.

it shouldn't be hard to imagine a child soldier program. Maybe one created by Cerebus as an elite corps of grunts born and built for the oncoming Reaper onslaught
In the lore books, Revelation, Ascension and Retribution, there is a child biotic training program created by the Alliance, and basically funded by Cerberus in hopes to advance human biotics and research of implants. I know its not in the game, but it would be nice to see something about it, seeing how it was what Capt. Anderson was doing between the games, dicking around with Cerberus, the lead character in the books and in the third book, Aria T'Loak.

Edit. So it makes up a lot of the events between the games and helps fill you in. The first book however was a prequel to ME1 and tells you how Saren discovered Sovereign, betrayed the council and that whole fauxpas about Anderson being the "first" human SPECTRE and fcking it up.
So it is possible for Shepard to become a surrogate father to a run away infiltrator from that program. And you could choose specific biotic specialist to teach him and that would increase the relationship between Shepard and...say Liara. That'd be cool, the whole crew could become a whole lot closer and a little more real in their reaction to him. Maybe he'll show us that Joker isn't much of a comedic a-hole and teach him how to pilot the Normandy. In which case, I want Liara to be the Mommy, Tali'Zorah his own love interest(she's like 18 right?), Garrus his uncle of wisdom, and Joker as his crazy uncle. EDI can be the voice in the walls that drives him mad. Come to think of it, throw that kid in there and I can almost predict every crew members reactions and treatment towards him.

In no particular order;

*Same sex romances.

*The hybrid ammo system they had in mind for ME2 to begin with.
IE the weapons work as in ME1 but you can eject a heat clip to instantly remove heat.

*Much more weapon customization.

*Ammo mods is not a power.

*No shared power cooldown. Having your Ommni-tool and Biotic Amp on the same cooldown is stupid.

*Allow me to decide what companions wear. Stop doing this Bioware!

*Give the Hammerhead shields. Or...

*Allow us to choose between the Hammerhead and the Mako. Let us take the Mako if you want something a little more durable with some heavy firepower or the Hammerhead for something swift and agile.

*Inventory/looting. But a bit more functional than ME1 thanks.

*Some trailers/posters/official art etc with FemShep.

That's a good point. They should consider putting her on the cover as well.

[sub]And also have a less horrible cover than ME2.[/sub]

Depth. ME2 felt overly simplified in so many areas and it really put me off.

get rid of jack would be my main hope. jack and mordin. they were both better than kaidan, but that's not saying a lot.

also, some game type where we do nothing but kill batarians and vorcha, or a method to throw ballistic suicide batarians at the reapers

5. Get a new female voice actor so playing as Fem Shep isn't a trip to monotone, no emotion land. Is Fem Shep a human or an Elcor? She gets around and fights like a human, but converses like an Elcor. It's very confusing.
What.

Jennifer Hale is so much better than the male voice actor that it isn't even funny. Male Shepard is a talking brick.

Or was this a joke? Please tell me this was a joke.
wasn't jennifer hale bastilla? i thought that sounded familiar

What? REALLY?? I have exactly the opposite opinion. I felt like fem shep was so brilliant at her job that it made the entire experience that much more entertaining. If anything, male shepherd was much worse.

Honestly, the one thing I want to see more than anything is a villian that I really just can get to hating. Saren was good, Harbinger was just a mind controlled drone 99% of the time. We never actually got to SEE what he looked like. So if he shows up in PERSON and is just a badass, that'll be fine. I feel like Bioware could do better in general with better villians. Like Darth Malak. But I'm ranting.

Rather than just scrap ME2s ammo system, hybridize. Allow the original overheat function to happen when there aren't thermal clips on hand.

Also, don't kill my entire crew for trying to play through the game fast. And don't punish half and half paragon/renegade players by not allowing us to do shit.

1. DA2 chat system- instead of just picking goody 2 shoes or angry prick let us pickthe tone of what we're gonna say and award paragon or renegade depending on the consequences.

2. An inventory- more guns and more armour please, not the to the same stupid level as Me1 but a little more RPG trappings would be appreciated.

3. Tell us when our companions have new convos- it was so very imersion breaking having to go round to check each companion for new dialogue, only to be greeted by the very same "not right now" speech.

4. Better characters- Apart from a couple DA2's characters were all nuanced and subtle, with slightly obscured motivations that slowly became apparent as you got to know them- Me2's were all 2d cardboard by comparison.

5.Keep the sex scenes as they are- dont focus on sex but the romance, make all the sweaty palmed folk get there thrills somewhere else.

The 3 easiest things I can think of are:

1. Less generic shooter combat dominating the game, more Mass Effect (which was always supposed to be about more than generic action - I expect Mass Effect to aspire to better things than just run-of-the-mill shooter combat for most of the game).

2. Liara, Ashley/Kaidan and if possible Wrex back as teammates again for the whole game.

3. Concentrate more on the story and also allow the characters to interact more. More conversations with Shepard and more banter with eachother. The ME2 squad felt so lifeless. Not only were their interactions with Shepard piss poor on many accounts, they were a "team" of complete individuals, just waiting for Commander Baby Sitter to come along so that they could tell him what errand they want him to run.

Yeah, that was her in a good role. She isnt particularly good as Shepard. She sounds too hissy and fake when trying to be tough.

Ive known for over ten years now that Jennifer Hale is one of the best voice actresses there is, just so long as she doesnt try to sound tough.

Its like the guy Boone in Fallout: New Vegas. Its that whispery, pansy voice. It just doesnt work. Compare that to a REAL tough voice, like Legate Lanius, and it just becomes laughable.

They both stank, I liked Nicholas Boulton as Hawke the best. He's the only one out of all the BioWare voice actors that voices the protagonist that has an awesome voice. In my opinion anyway. It's really quite strange how your companions like Garrus, Mordin and Fenris have such astounding voice work but the character you control never comes close.

Remove the probing of planets.

Give stats to the weapons.

Wider customization on your characters.

Show some kind of timer for your Biotics.

I've seen some calls here for an Elcor teammate(which would be nice and all), but am I the only one who wants a Hanar teammate? Those guys are great.

The probes and the dialogue system.

No probes or strip mining.

Remove the whole overly nice, bland, overly evil dialogue.
