5. Get a new female voice actor so playing as Fem Shep isn't a trip to monotone, no emotion land. Is Fem Shep a human or an Elcor? She gets around and fights like a human, but converses like an Elcor. It's very confusing.
What.

Jennifer Hale is so much better than the male voice actor that it isn't even funny. Male Shepard is a talking brick.

Or was this a joke? Please tell me this was a joke.
They both stank, I liked Nicholas Boulton as Hawke the best. He's the only one out of all the BioWare voice actors that voices the protagonist that has an awesome voice. In my opinion anyway. It's really quite strange how your companions like Garrus, Mordin and Fenris have such astounding voice work but the character you control never comes close.
[small]I preferred Jo Wyatt, to be honest.[/small]

But regardless of if you liked Jennifer Hale's voice work in ME or not, you can't deny that she puts way more emotion into her lines than Mark Meer does. His delivery is so flat it disrupts space-time.

The companions do generally have better acting, but I figure that's because despite whatever RPG purists will tell you, Shepard/Hawke are player-defined characters. The actors have to work with being (roughly) three different people with the same voice, without coming on so strong in any role that they break immersion.

By comparison, Tali is a known character. She has clearly defined features and traits, so the actor knows more about how to play her. Protagonists need to be vague enough to let the player roleplay, but not so vague that they become completely bland and colorless (Meer..).

7) Planet exploration. The planets from ME1 with the Hammerhead from ME2. And the planets are actually interesting.
8) More open levels. Or at least more levels that look open. ME2 suffered from a bad case of "corridor shooter". So did ME1, but at least the levels looked open and interesting.

24) Bring back the unlimited ammo please. And the overheating thing. Just allow us to cool our weapons off faster by holding what was reload. This also stops weapons which shouldn't have standard heat sinks(*cough*collectors*cough*) from having them and thus creating a tiny plot hole.
These 3 are pretty much my main things.

I do agree that Hale is superior to Meer.

Nicholas did the three-voices quite splendidly. It was a simple job on paper. A stoic, commanding voice for 'Good'. A mocking tone undercut with sarcasm for 'Neutral. A intimidating, grit-filled voice for 'Bad'. Jo and him sure had their work cut out for them, I'm guessing the little icons that represents the tone of the dialogue made it easier. Mark and Jennifer probably had no such thing to go on.

More enemy variety. In Mass Effect 2, most of the time you only fought enemies from the same three mercenary groups- it would be nice to see at least some different species represented (elcor gun platform FTW!)

No more ammo clips. How was that an "upgrade"?
More singing squad mates
I agree with the ammo clips because that spit all over the established continuity of how the weapons worked in the first one. But Mordin singing was one of my favorite parts of the game. An alien singing his own version of a Gilbert & Sullivan song was hilarious.

Jetpacks, space flight and an acerbic drill seargent voiced by R. Lee Ermey. Really though, I'm just hoping they make the most of the decisions carried over from previous games, theres huge potential for vastly varrying endings and encounters. I have enough faith in Bioware that they'll deliver significant improvements towards the combat/gameplay as well.

Edit: And don't make sniper rifles so fucking useless. I never got enough ammo for it.

Which is why I still prefer a voiceless protagonist. Mark Meer flirting with Tali was painful and Jennifer Hale got way too flirtatious.

More hot alien sex!

Seriously I'd like to see more open levels. I love the Mass Effect games, but the levels were far too linear and combat based (ME2 was the worst offender).

automated squadmate attacks predetermined by you, like gambits in FF12.
such as when spotting a charging enemy, use lift. or use overload when spotting an enemy with full shield.

also i know its not really the place, but DONT ADD A MULTIPLAYER. that ruins most good games' single player mode by scrimping on the development time of single.

2) Gameplay that isn't boring and so heavily cover-based.

19) Bring back the stats and upgrading of weapons/armor. It brings a sense of progression. In the beginning you couldn't do much, but at the end you were totally fucking awesome. Thats a great thing. Better than being awesome all the time, which gets boring and stale after a while. Just keep the upgrading restricted to the ship so you don't have to deal with a cluttered inventory.

Pretty much these. Oh and some more verbose dialogue options would be nice too. It's really disconcerting when 2 of my dialogue options in a given scenario are EXACTLY THE SAME!!
Paragon response: "I'll look into it" Neutral response: "I don't have time for this!" Renegade response: "I don't have time for this!" -WTF?? C'mon Bioware, I know you can do better than that.

1.) An automatic fish feeder that isn't Kelly.
2.) Virmire Survivor as a squadmate.
3.) A more spacey, memorable soundtrack like ME1's.
4.) The romance that builds up through the whole game, and not just after a loyalty mission is sucessfully completed.
5.) A more, how should I say it? Passionate conclusion to the romance. I mean, Mass Effect pulled it off greatly (#4 is included in this), but in ME2 the romances felt kind of flat and like the relationship didn't matter too much to one or the other.
6.) More open levels.
7.) The return of:
- talking to your squademates while you're wandering about
- elevators acting as load screens (I've found the load screens to be more anoying than the elevator rides, as well as an immersion killer)
- squad chatter while in elevators
- squadmate armor (really, only one or two of them are excused from this)
8.) Wrex as a squadmate.
9.) Seeing what a female turian, krogan, salarian, elcor and etc. look like.
10.) More variety in weapons, armor customization, etc.

I'd like the stupidity and general failure of Dragon Age Origins Jowan to be subtly referenced. That would make the game for me.

That's quite possible, I've only played a few hours as ManShep and didn't pursue any romances as FemShep in ME2. My most recent (ME1&2) playthrough was a chaste one, so it's been a while since I heard Hale flirt with any aliens.

[small]For some reason the word "cringe" springs to mind, though.[/small]

The alternative would be to press a button every time ShepHawke speaks. It would take some timing to completely annul a line, but you get plenty of chances to hone your skills at talk-blocking.

Hopefully they adopt the DA2 system so I know when my character is going to enter flirt mode. Off-topc, but why was there no bi-options in ME2? Jack screamed Bisexual.

That's a very good question, and I have no idea what the answer is.

I would think it was a reaction to some of the controversy they got with ME1, but that wouldn't explain why they exclusively kept heterosexual romances. It's very weird, especially since they've had at least one bisexual option in every game since KotOR.

[sub]I really, really hope it isn't a response to some kind of outside pressure.[/sub]

But Jack was one of the more interesting characters, plus a fairly good love interest (as far as Bioware love interests go).
