Seriously? You'd buy a new version of both those games? But they're so new, and it wouldn't be a giant step just a rehash. You need to play more games.

I'd like a lot of side scrollers remade with the look of Braid. Also give Square another go with Mario RPG.

Heh, No I said that because recently sony asked what people would like on the God of War III collectors edition bluray, and one of the choices was god of war 1 and 2. So I would buy the CE if it included updated God 1 and 2 on the disc, as well as the new game coming out. Kind of like they did with Riddick by putting an updated Butcher Bay on the new Dark Athena game. Even if Athena sucked.

Mostly I'd just love seeing my friends get annihilated by the laptop gun posted as a sentry turret with better graphics. That was one of my favorite weapons ever.

POD or Star Wars EP1 Racer - not that they need it that much, but it'd be pretty cool.
Doom 1&2, definitely. Classic Doom 3 is a good mod, letting you play Doom 1 using the D3 engine; pity it's only the first chapter and not all four.
Quake 3. It doesn't even need that much of a graphical update (Unreal Tournament has ancient graphics and nobody cares). Just fix the goddamn timing so it isn't tied to the goddamn framerate. My computer runs it unplayably quickly...

Well the only thing that hasn't been said that I want to have brought back is the Oddworld games. Except I wouldn't want them in 3D, just back to a 2D plane but with current gen graphics, you know?

Maybe 2.5D could work. Sorta like that remake of the old old PoP games on Xbox live, but with Oddworld ofcourse. I think that'd be cool.

You know it is not an old game but I would really like to see Shadow of Colossus on next Gen. It was so good on the last gen, but I always got the feeling that the developers were limited by the hardware. And the scope/atmosphere of that game was amazing. The only way you could improve upon it would be to update the graphics and sound. Can you imagine a SoC with graphics on par with Killzone 2? It would make an awesome game even greater.

I remember the days of playing Populous : The Beginning and spending hours on end messing about with the land manipulation spells I had. No doubt Populous was an excellent game, and there were many older games that were just as good.

Personally I'd love a new Populous game to come out, what they could do with it with todays graphics, gameplay innovation etc. etc. would surely make an amazing game. But I'm more interested in your opinions. So I was wondering what old games you guys would like to see remade, or the franchise started up again?

I'd also like to see a sequel to Red Alert 2.
