I don't think there has ever been a film series to produce as many quality films as Harry Potter. 7 films each with good to great critical acclaim and each entertaining in their own right.

Well done HP, well done.
You haven't seen the fifth movie have you?

Why did Harry grope You-Know-Who and jump off a castle wall? Did I miss something here?

I gave up on the Harry Potter films a few movies back, but I think I will make an exception just so I can see the Battle of Hogwarts in action. Crappy reason to go see a movie, but...I feel like I can justify it to myself.

I was wandering how they gonna make it a full movie since the first part was about 3/4 of the book now I know, its going to be an action movie.

Eight movies. Eight movies, and I still cannot figure out why the f*** Voldemort doesn't have a nose! :p
Because he has snake nostrils.
Yes, those are nostrils, but I'm asking for a nose. Did they ever explain why he has nostrils but no nose?

[sub]I'm not denying they did, but I don't remember if or where they said that.[/sub]
Not that I'm aware of. They just point out that he has slits, instead (it's in the books, too).

Presumably, they assumed that the man who lives and breathes snake imagery doesn't really need an explanation for why he would want to look snakelike.
Well everytime you split your soul (seven times for Voldy) you become less and less human so I guess not having a nose is not a big suprise.

And so after ten years it is finally coming to an end. I'm sad to see it go, but it's going out with a massive bang.

Presumably, had he kept going, his ears would have been next.

"Complete the journey... in 3D!"

...oh well, back to the drawing board.

you don't have to watch it in 3D

Some people, swear to god.

8SPOILERS* Harry should have died, like all GOOD English fictional characters
I am being a little facetious there, if I was going to watch it I'd gladly watch it in 3D. I'm just making the point of the "IN 3D" tag at the end, seems a little tacked on.

All though the series was very good, he wasn't exactly a good character.

I think the only emotion he showed throughout the whole series was anger. And even that was done unconvincingly

Fair enough for the snake imagery. But if I recall, Voldemort was a student of Hogwarts, wasn't he? Don't you think the kid without a nose and looks kind of like a snake would raise a few eyebrows?

Again, I haven't read the books or seen the movies in a long time, so maybe there's an explanation for that and I'm making an ass of myself.

I think Voldemort has looked more human as time has progressed through this movie series.

Damn, they really brought out the big guns now.

Part 1 could have stood alone without the books, now it's looking like this movie will actually end Good.

(Don't get me wrong, I loved all the movies. But they were kind of bland to an outsiders perspective.)

He hadn't split his soul and all that business yet while he was still in Hogwarts. There are scenes with the young "Tom Riddle" where he looks basically normal, though really emo (though that describes a lot of the students in Hogwarts).

He did raise a few eyebrows...at least, the first time he went there after starting to look like that. That was during his job interview with Dumbledore, as I recall. I'll have to check the book again to make sure.

Spoilers!

He was born completely normal. The second and sixth films show him younger. He split his soul into several pieces to make him immortal, and doing so effed him up. Kind of like how your characters always look ugly in RPGs when you're evil.

Eh, I thought the fifth and sixth were pretty horrible. The others were okay to good, and the 7th was pretty accurate and good. The second part of the seventh looks to be the best, thankfully.

Alright, I remember and understand now. Sorry. I hadn't read the books or seen the movies lately so memory isn't serving me well. But thanks you, that clears things up.

The only good part I saw was Ralph Fiennes doing things.

That might just be enough for me to watch it

I grew out of my Harry Potter phase when I turned 13 last decade, but man that's a cool trailer. I need to go watch part 1 so I can maybe go see this one in theaters.
