What double standard? She didn't rape the kid. He had to be able to get it up for any sort of intercourse. And in no way did it say he didn't consent. Kudos to the kid, imho, he got laid at 13. The guys lucky.

The way I see it, if nothing was forced it shouldn't be considered rape. Now, if the kids like 5, and she came along saying, "Wanna have sex?" The kid might say, "Yeah!" without knowing it. Thats wrong. But this kid is 13, he didn't just get picked up, they clearly had this planned, he knew what was going down, he's not a victim.

Yes while that is true - in this case, The 13 year old just doesn't know any better. I would agree if it was 16 or 17... MAYBE 15. Not to mention what impressions that women made on him - IE about women. Besides he isn't even remotely near an age of consent law in any state and most of those laws kind of only apply to girlfriend/boyfriends doing it that are within a few years of each other. Heck, that's just bad taste. Worse than those models marrying 80 year old men for their money.

Depends on the state actually - in Maine - age of consent is at 16 However assuming your both dating/going out/gives consent and the close age group (within a year or so of each other).... it wouldn't really matter. Technically by law it's ilegal, but at that point, people aren't going to really do anything other say "Wait X months." Or her father kicks your ass.

Well in Denmark you're legally allowed to have sex at the age of 15, so in my eyes that's not that big of a deal.

In The United States of America, where this story happened, age of consent doesn't allow a person over the age of 18 to have sex with a child. Even if the child wants it or can legally give consent.

This is rape and she deserves a punishment for her crime.

For everyone reinforcing the double standard about female-on-male molestation I would hope that you would change your attitude about this issue. You are making things worse.

It's about time we all started to stop joking about this kind of thing. The double standard that still exists in cases like this has got to to stop.

Pretty much when you hit 16 in American, it's free game so long as it's consent, any consequences is kind of really left to the families to deal with. The only time the law is involved is when it's in some place that it's ilegal to be or some other circumstances. At least in Maine that's how the cops act. Not that they don't act when they need to but when teens will be teens... they aren't gonna do about it except tell the parents. To be honest that's usual a worse punishment to both of them than anything else.
