The person 'impregnated' by the squid had to be eating a female squid, since calamari need both a male and female to reproduce. Squid sperm is also incompatable with human DNA, both our female eggs and flesh itself, so squid sperm could never create a hybrid between our species.

What most likely happened was that the woman was served an undercooked female squid that had just been fertilised with young before capture. It was probably frozen the moment it was taken out of the water.

Well, at least she can be happy, she managed to get 13 for the price of one, Huh?
