I want to disagree, but I must ask the women of the Escapist:
Which guy do you find more appealing/attractive? The guy who doesn't smile, maybe is a bit drawn, seems more mysterious? Or the happy smiley guy who is really excited to talk to you?

I think that has to do with the glowing red eyes ... just sayin' ...

OT: Bullshit. I've known plenty of guys and girls who look heaps better when they smile (and that ranges from having a bad-boy charm-smile, to one of those smiles that just lights up a room and makes everyone who sees you cheerier).

EDIT: I read the article and I can tell you something. First off, that guy's smile isn't very nice in photos (I've seen people who are really bad in photos but awesome in person). Secondly, his pride picture makes his overall build seem more muscled/toned (and therefore more masculine). So of course the smile is going to be rated lower than the pride (also, in the pride picture, his head is tilted, so his facial proportions are obscured making the gut reaction more about the body than the face, meanign musculature would be a much more dominant factor.

I'm not sure about other women but not having a nice smile is a deal breaker for me. My boyfriend's smile was one of the first things I noticed about him.
