LOL. I mean is it a word? people use it now instead of laughing which is fine on the internet but not in conversation.

On topic - love

"Dude, I love this cereal" "I love my wife" but are they on par? like the emotional level for both is equal?

That's can;t be good.

Virtual cookie for those that know who said this gem.
I mourn the impact the word hate used to have. It can sound like you're suppressing raising your voice and gives off a seething impression.

"Fuck"

Really, people. This is supposed to be a highly offensive word used in times of great duress or frustration. Lacing it into every sentence just reduces the impact of the word down to almost nothing. You're not being edgy or creative anymore, and it's just boring.

Oh sure, cluster F-bombs can be extremely effective (not to mention hilarious) if done right. But all too often, I hear sentences like this: "I don't fucking know, just fucking move that fucking box the fuck over there." Really, this is a mundane order, and the use of an explicative (not to mention several of them) is completely unnecessary. It reaches the point that when the word should reinforce the nature and severity of a sentence (i.e. "You fucking asshole"), it ends up serving no other purpose than just being a filler.

In summary: I wish people would learn to cuss creatively.

Words like 'a' 'i' & 'the' tend to really bug me, there's no wood in them.
Tinny words, Tinny!

I occasionally get confused with words like They or There. I know what they mean, but the paranoid part of me worries if "There" sounds like "Their" and I just made it up subconsiously

Back On-topic the aforementioned "gay" and also "retard/retarded" I mean seriously is it just my friends that overuse these or is it everyone?

Love and hate, because people have used them far too often, that they no longer hold the weight that they once did.

Pretty much all the expletives, because people use them far too often. They should only be used to exhibit frustration or rage under sheer duress, rather than being used as though they were punctuation in a sentence, or simply something that the speaker through in, because he or she needed more time to process the sentence before saying it.

Epic. Innovative. Revolutionary. Virtually every buzzword used in the gaming industry to promote new titles. They're words that are meant to sell the title to investors, not to the gaming public.

This. I think that if something's funny, just fucking laugh! It's easier than saying something.

I live in California so any word used in valley girl or skater speak (ex dude, hella, totally, etc., etc.). That and most of the bastardized English used by online gaming.

"Terrorist/Terrorism".

Every last fucking person that commits a heinous act nowadays is bandied about by the media as a terrorist. A terrorist is one who inspires fear in others in order to further their cause, not someone who does something for their own pleasure and doesn't care who knows it.

Stupid political "buzzwords" are completely removing the meaning and impact from once-powerful words.

Dutch word, 'spontaan'. Used to describe people, yet I have no idea what the definition might be in this context. Neither do the people that actually USE the word, for that matter. Currently the word is used as my personal tard-0-meter: when someone describes him or herself, I immediately walk away.
