If were on the topic of words people can't pronounce, try saying these tongue twisters 5 times fast: Irish Wristwatch, Unique New York, and everyone's favorite Toy Boat.

Difficult, don't you agree?
What about Selfish Shellfish.
That is also a very good tongue twister and speaking of seafood (while still on topic), long sentances like She sells seashells by the sea shore and Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers can also be quite hard. Although I will admit that they aren't as bad for me as the three I said in my first post.

I would say...coup de grace and deus ex.It's mostly words that come from a different language, and since English isn't my mother's tongue, I often get confused with the pronunciation of such words.

Man, I was the kid that had to be in speech classes for 2 years. The day I ever say a full sentence correctly is the day I can die.

I cannot pronounce dour. Why the fuck can't it just have the same pronunciation as sour (but with a d instead of an s, of course)?

I looked it up in the dictionary (OED, of course) and it supposedly rhymes with 'poor'. Right. Except I pronounce 'poor' the same as I pronounce 'pour', but that would mean 'dour' sounds the same as 'door'.

Fucking stupid word.
I say it like it rhymes with sour.

When I was little, I used to pronounce "mahogany" like "maa-ho-gaa-knee"

I still laugh at my younger brother because he can't pronounce aluminum. He usually ends up saying something like "a-loom-lum-lum".

FYI, he's 14.

Phenomenon. Every time I try to say it it sounds like I'm saying "flob-a-dob-a-dob" or something similar from Bill & Ben the flowerpot men. I just can't get my tongue around it; too many "nom's" and "non's".

American city names, Japanese words and any Welsh word EVER. I was in a Welsh club a few years ago and I can't remember a single bloody word I was taught. I struggle on quite a few words but I just had a brain whoopsie and forgot them all.

Gauss as in Gauss Warthog... I never figured out how it was pronounced
Gauss Warthog? That's the first example that popped into your mind? You, my friend, play too much Halo.
