Edgard sat at the back of the truck, looking out at the road in case they needed to retrace their steps at any given time, only when the Second in command, Dan, spoke did he take his eyes off the road and begin looking over the other squad mates.
From what he could see half the squad seemed composed of younger men in their early twenties, likely conscripts from the beginning of the war. The other half seemed a bit older, but not by much, likely late twenties all of them, and one of them in particular seemed to carry himself with a bit more pride than the rest, probably one of the few who had joined the military before the war, sort of like himself he concluded.
He kept his attention on the man with the Slavic accent as he introduced himself, clearly he was a soldier of the Soviets, and his words seemed to prove that. As he finished he leant back towards the side of the truck, making Edgard aware of the fact that he was the only one who was sitting completely straight, but habits from the King's guard were hard to break.
Seeing as nobody else said anything after the Slav's introduction, Edgard tipped his kepi forward a little in respect before making his own.
"I'm Edgard Vedvik, Over-Sergeant of the Free Norwegian Armed Forces, this is my 13th year of service, including one and a half year as a conscript. Former member of the King's guard, and I was a member of NOR.I.C.1 until I was reassigned."
He looked over at Victor again as he straightened his dark jacket, ending the introduction with, "That's all."
