Funny you should mention that. I just read an article in the latest PC Gamer issue that Blizzard are limiting the amount of raiding and other grinding stuff you can do at the end-game per week, so it becomes less of a lifestyle and more an actual hobby you play every so often for the obsessive compulsive players. Seems they're attempting to make it less addictive.Dexiro said:It's not perfect in any way, it's just designed to be addictive.
yeah i would say its as bad as wow, its almost what all my xbox live friends play. i used to play wow a lot when i was younger and my parents banned me. I do feel better and found my self to get more confident. im playing it again but i actually take breaks and dont try to cram in to much. as long as you take breaks and go out with people i believe you can still be a "normal" person, in a sense.Kayner100 said:mixed messages here
how about call of duty MW2?
i know some guys who play/played this game continuously for days and are obsessed with "prestiging"
some even stayed up for 18 hours a day just so that they can play
is that as bad a the WoW addiction?
Are you saying this as a criticism? Because "addictive" in games a lot of the time a pretty good word. If addictive games weren't desired PopCap would be out of business.Dexiro said:It's not perfect in any way, it's just designed to be addictive.
Depends how you're judging the game. It does a bloody good job of keeping you playing the game but it lacks a lot of the qualities that other games are judged by.MiloP said:Are you saying this as a criticism? no. there are alot of things that trick the mind into becoming addicted to it, it doesnt make them perfect or even good (wow is good though)masher said:Isn't an "addicting game" also the "perfect game"? I mean, a game one never tires from is a game one will always play. At least that's probably the perspective of Blizzard and other corps. that make video games.
