I'm British and I've backpacked through Canada from dreary Winnipeg to towering Calgary to glorious Vancouver, also Toronto. I have to say I like Canada, and most of the Canadians I've met.

I love the stupid weather (ice storms?) and the fact you have cities with underground walkways because it gets too cold to go outside some parts of the year. I like Kokanee and I like the relative lack of racial tension (plus all you can eat sushi bars).

You guys always seem a little more psychologically close to us than the yankees and that's probably why. Also plenty of your soldiers died in Europe to protect us (suckers!) in WWI and it's sequel and you gotta respect that.

As I've said before: It's all about dem BEAVERS.

Strangely enough, I do like canadian flicks. And some of my favorite performers(read: actors) are canadians. I also like the fact that dem canadians don't seem self absorbed in their military history or exploits, and don't market themselves as all around badasses(in entertainment).

You have a good healthcare system (by many standards) and don't mess with anyone's business.

Oh, and, of course, BEAVERS!!.

Have to say that Canadians tend to have a very good reputation in Australia. Every Canadian I've met has been funny, friendly, intelligent, and generous. Admittedly, I've only met a few, but most of my friends have visited Canada at one point or another.

Your country reeks of trees, your yaks are really large and they smell like rotting beef carcasses :p Heh, I'm sure a few people will get that reference.

Can't really say I have much of an opinion on Canada, but I guess the general view is that they/you are the 'nice guys' of the West.

America's hat? Hmmm...

You know what's under a hat right? A brain. So in essence that is saying that not only does Canada control America as it's brain but that Canada is full of brains and America has none, relying on Canada or else it would be completely devoid of thought, intelligent or not.

Wow, nice insult Americans.

Anyhoo, Canada seems to be refuge for logical thought, decent weather and nice food. That's just going on what I've heard. I've never met anyone from Canada.

To be fair, we didn't ask for them either.
Now, now, the Canadian government has apologised for Bryan Adams on several occasions.

But what's under Canada? America. I'm sure we've done worse things to complain about than the hat joke... We're only Canada's beard, after all.

But what's to say about Canada? Our neighbors to the north. Except, be sure to watch Canadian Bacon, and remember Jon Candy's message... Seriously, you never know when we'll flip out!

Lost in the Void... for Christ's sake.

You know it is going on international type forums and asking questions like that that makes us Canadienne types look soooooooo lame. You never see a Brit asking "So, do you guys like us? Do you know what our flag looks like?"

It does allow for us Canadians make self deprecating jokes about the size of our metaphorical junk though, which I guess is a kind of a national identity thing.

Moved to 'Merica about 5 years ago. You know, there's not much of a difference aside from the accents. *shrug*

I love Canada. I don't know why. Probably because I live in a maple tree, and love maple trees. I also have seen less whining (from microscopic to non-existent) than Americans.

And as much as I know, they have much less violence than America etc, amirite?
Ah what the hell, I'll admit. I don't live in neither Canada or America, and I don't know a bald man's hair about their politics, the state of their state (hah) and etc. But I still can feel the Force (!) of better....ness, ness, nes of Canada.

I only know that Godspeed you!Black emperor hails from Canada as does David Cronenberg, Venetian Snares and Skinny Puppy.

If one country can produce these fine products then I am forced to like you.
