Well, it certainly isn't better than Oblivion, but I'll say what I always say:

"Fallout 3 is a 1/10 compared to Oblivion. And a 10/10 compared to every other game."

Hands down is the winner. No matter what you see or play, this will always be the worst.

Ugh, these threads really piss me off.
You know why?

Because everyone has a different taste in games. I'm sure if you asked everyone in the world who has played at least 1 video games, you'd get at least 90% of all games ever made out on the "Don't you dare play this" list.

Ephemeral Fantasia. PS2. If anyone actually played this for any length of time...how did you do it?

BRING ON THE HATE MAIL!
Best I can tell you is that hating games that aren't terrible is pretty corny these days. It's like whenever you say "What is the worst game ever." and someone jumps up and screams "Halo! Final Fantasy 7! Half-Life 2!" Or any other blockbuster title just because they want to be edgy (never do give any quality reasons for hating any of the titles). Even if you WERE being honest it would have to be either from some sort of very lucky sheltered life where all you played were amazing games or you quite honestly have poor judgement.

That's about as deep as the 'hate' goes just because its boring now. It was cute back when people first started doing it but now it is dry.

As for me.

Guilty Gear Dust Strikers was terrible for various reasons. Why they didn't just port any of the fighting games to the DS is beyond me.

SPORE, not the worst game ever but easily the least return for what was shown, while having a really entertaining editor each of the actual game zones was very bland and done far better by other companies. It was a shame because I had been a big fan of Wright up till that point and it killed it. He's recently separated from EA but I doubt good things will come out of the separation either.

I'd say though the worst game ever hasn't been played by me, and as quoted above it was ET for the Atari.

Otherwise I can just name a ton of games that I wished I could return or that otherwise caused me to stop purchasing from a company (SPORE literally is the reason I won't even touch boxes with EA on them).

At this point, indie gamers aside, if it isn't from a few small japanese companies, stardock, valve, or blizzard I really don't give it two looks. I like rockstar but I was left a little empty with GTA IV, it was amazing and beautiful but ultimately it had lost that flare of ridiculousness from its predecessors.

You only get one try and if you attempt anything cool (killing someone, flying,) you end up dead.
Unless you're OJ Simpson. Ohhhh, I am such a biz-nitch.

no, i honestly despised fallout 3. i felt as if they only added combat at the last second because they had to, but i comes of as an unnatural feel. i was expecting a peice of crap when i started playing, and was actually dissappointed. so excuuuuse me for not enjoying your precious little game, but just cause you like it doesn't mean its good.

I agree, when you have to dump extra game copies in landfill, you know you have an exeponally (hope I spelled that right) bad game

Well, maybe Fallout 3 is the very worst game you've ever played. If so you're very lucky. But TUE wasn't saying it's a good game, necessarily, he was just pointing out that there are a lot of games that are objectively worse, if only because Fallout 3 is literally playable, has a storyline (even if you hate it), has workable combat mechanics (even if you don't like them), has vaguely believable characters (even if they annoy you), etc. It's just not in the same league as, say, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing [http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/bigrigsovertheroadracing?q=Big%20Rigs:%20Over%20the%20Road%20Racing].

I played Fallout 3 for a few days, didn't enjoy it much and never went back to it. But I couldn't possibly defend calling it the World's Worst Game Ever, because... you know what, if you don't see why any game that's generally well-regarded shouldn't be called the World's Worst Game Ever, I probably shouldn't waste my time trying to persuade you.

It does have some amazing graphics though. And it's really immersive when you get into it.
The story can be awful in places unfortunately.
Seriously. It's filled with plotholes all over the goddamn place.
I know, plus the difficulty cerb is just way too steep. Then there are those really nasty game breaking glitches.
