I can acknowledge that Neon Genesis Evangelion is a well made show. Blah blah blah genius, blah blah blah philosophy. I get it. But out of all the anime I've seen, that series is the only one I actively despised. It's the only one where I had to force myself to sit down and hit play.

Even the anime I've watched that I can admit are pretty crappy, I at least enjoyed in a guilty-pleasure, MST3K kind of way. You'd have to tie me down Clockwork Orange style if you wanted me to watch that pretentious crap again.

I thought Gantz was pretty disgusting. Apparantly 8 out of ten people/dogs in large cities is a rapist.

Also, there isn't one single likeable character in the show.

EDIT: Oh and prince of tennis, that is pure shit and so is the manga. I could only take it for so long :'(
Ninja'd... That thing is seriously unwatchable.
I found Serial Experiment Lain to be pretty awful at the time, too...

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. I have no idea how you can go form Wing to 08th Ms Team to Seed. At least in America. I know it was different in Japan but to go from gritty to childish was such a drastic turn.

Soul Eater - For the same reason the first Full Metal Alchemist didn't sit to right with me. The anime got to the point where it was equal to the manga in it's story, so they decide to do whatever the fuck they want and end it with some bullshit feel good moment.
Ohhh, boy, by feel good moment do you mean the 15-minute speech about courage for the final episode followed by EVERYTHING the bad guys did being erased and everyone going back to normal? That one part was one of the weakest parts of the anime. well the ending, along with the Excalibur filler episodes and the city transforming into a freaking robot were hands down the lowest points of an otherwise pretty good anime.
OT:I haven't watched much anime until this year when one of my friends got me hooked on it, and out of the ones I've watched, I haven't really hated any of them, but they had their low points, like the stuff from SE, but I REALLY hated how Revy from Black Lagoon is walking fan service, I kind of ruins the mood the show has. I like everything else about it and I can still sit down and watch an episode, but for the love of god, PUT ON SOME REAL PANTS FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!

Was called Innocent Venus or something. Was pretty much the most generic thing I've ever seen.

Oddly enough, I liked a lot of the ones other people had listed for the reasons they hated it.

High School of the Dead.

Just...Ugh.
Why did I want to watch it? Zombie killing. What did I get? Tits. Just tits everywhere. Panty-shots too. It was boring as hell after the 5th episode which had about 5 minutes of what I wanted and instead was about 'LOL OMG shower scenes'. One of the worst plots and some seriously unlikeable characters.

Fooly Cooly.

Just didn't make any sense. Apart from that it was alright but... .
That's why it was so good.

It actually does make sense though if you really pay attention.

You have to listen to all the incessant ramblings that go on in the background. Because the stuff you're barely listening to is generally explaining what's going on.

If you want something nonsensical. Watch 'dead leaves'.

That's like FLCL on crack. And in 45 minutes.

OT: I generally won't watch an anime if it's bad. Just like I won't watch any other series if it looks bad. And I'm a pretty good judge of what I watch.

I think there has only ever been one series that invested a load of time into. Only to be disappointed by the end.

That was 'Soul eater'.

The first series was great. And so was the majority of the second series. But the last 2 episodes. They just completely negate everything you've watched and pull some Disney Saturday morning special ending on you.

I was really pissed off.
Thank God I'm not the only one who has seen Dead Leaves.

It is an amazingly awesome violent seizure-fest with brilliant one-liners.

YOU CRAP TOO MUCH!

I might as well group Bleach, Naruto and InuYasha as one anime, since I dislike them for pretty much the same reason - they run/ran for -way- too long. When a show can be classified as more than 50% non-canonical "filler" episodes, that's probably proof you (the directors of the anime) should stop making episodes for a while. Problem is, all three of those shows are/were money spinners for their respective studios - they make enough money from the one series to finance... whatever the hell they want to make alongside it.

Anyway, now that I've got that out of the way -

IkkiTousen (Battle Vixens) - it's Romance of the 3 Kingdoms with more tits and less plot. And, as expected, it's awful.

Queen's Blade - more fanservicey trash from the makers of IkkiTousen. Nuff said.

Gundam Seed Destiny - My only real problem with this show is how disappointing it is. The mecha designs are lovely (and, in fact, some of my favourite units in the Super Robot Wars series when they appear); but the plot is an absolute trainwreck.

High School of the Dead - way too much fanservice for me to recommend this to anybody. It's a cool premise, but it's ruined by the fact they obviously wanted to pander to the otaku crowd over, well, everyone else.

Rosario to Vampire - Again, way too fanservice-oriented. Which annoys me, because the original manga is brilliant and one of the few things serialised in Jump that I make any effort to keep up-to-date with.

Though, honestly, I try to avoid watching an anime unless I -know- there's a chance I'm going to like it. IkkiTousen and Queen's Blade, however, were shows I watched due to sheer curiosity - I knew they were bad, just not -how- bad they were.

Vampire Knight. Guh it was like if Stephenie Meyer had made an anime.
Yeah, same with me. Watched all the eps and was like "Waste of time much?".
And another one would have to be Rosario + vampire. I want those hours of my life back D:
(And if you don't know what im talking about, read the manga and then watch the anime).

It's so encouraging to see that no one's said Yu Yu Hakusho yet. I'd have to start limbering up my *****-choking hand if it got dissed.

The worst anime I can recall seeing is The Slayers. I tried to get into it. Really, I did. Three times. I could never make it past the third episode.

Thanks to Evagelion's ending AND movie...Gotta go with that.

I don't watch much anime, so if this is the worst I can come up with...I've done pretty good so far.

I watched five minutes of "Queen's Blade" and I got internal bleeding.
When Dragon Ball became Dragon Ball Z.
Bleach because it got boring as hell with all the filler like Dragon Ball Z.

Oh, and like the poster above me said, Naruto. Sweet jesus.

Digimon Xros Wars. The main character's only flaw is that he has no flaws and constantly helps people. Also, they barely explain the replacement for DIgivolution and it looks incredibly confusing onscreen. Also, they fucking replaced Digivolution! I could barely sit through one-and-a-half episodes.
