No, I think that was just a bad ending. The scene with Desmond standong holding the Apple had no prompts whatsoever. It took me 20 minutes to figure out it wasnt a loading screen. And then death and bullcrap.
Demon's Souls oh my god did that suck after fighting through 15 or so awesome bosses and then you have to fight the worst boss ever then a shit ending but it was a good game though
The thing is the story with Enslaved is that Dragonball gave the Journey to the West story more justice. Enslaved was trying too hard to slap moral bullshit in your face. This is why I say Ninja Theory hasn't made a good game yet.
Also a bad ending was the ending in Black because EA didn't push for any kind of a sequel and the clusterfuck of a story was left with a cliffhanger.
The real ending of Shadow Hearts because it's a tear jerk I'll leave it at that...
Without a shadow of a doubt: STALKER - shadow of Chernobyl. It makes you fight thru dozens of ridiculously overpowered military elites which are always behind cover when you are in the open and then all you get for beating them is a pile of rubble sitting on top of you. And I played on easy so I dread to think what they can do on hard.
I was going to say STALKER as well because I got the same ending. What a disappointing way to end the game, all because I sold some stuff with the intent of buying new armor, but didn't because I realized I was so close to the end. If somebody had told me "by the way, don't have too much money when you finish the game or it will ruin the entire narrative which was held together by a thread anyway." that would have been great.
Not to mention the whole
go left for bad endings, go right for good endings, with no explanation about either.
Damn Cliffhangers that make no sense and usher in an excuse for the developers to make a sequel...

Fable 2, Then Fable 3...
Haven't tryed Fable 1... But beacuse of the latter two Im assumeing they do that same skip around the final boss fight....
And the whole shadow possesing your meantor in Fable 3 wasn't close to a boss fight... You should have been able to kill him, THEN fight the actual beast
Yep another Cliff hanger brought to you by the people who make Assassin's Creed.
Okay enough quotes time for my input.
The Darkness. That game was great but the ending was below mediocre. I kept replaying it trying to find an alternative ending but there was none which really pissed me off. But maybe the sequel which has been announced will redeem the first game.
PoP: TFS had a dreadful ending. You could see what was going to happen right from the beginning which makes the game feel like theres no point to playing it.
And SW:TFU.
You finally get to the end of the deathstar and have a choice after beating Darth Vader. Either proceed to kill Lord Vader in his weakened state and take his position of power or fight The Emperor. Once you defeat the Emperor and are about to strike the killing blow, you are pushed aside by Darth Vader and end up dead basically (can't remember how exactly he dies). It just seems lame that you are able to pull down Star Destroyers and rip AT-ATs apart as well as kill giant plant monsters (stuff the Vader doesn't seem able to do) as well as beat Vader but are seemingly not able to recover from being force pushed and zapped by force electricity.
Also I hate the idea he is cloned in the second one. What's the point!
What about Brotherhood's ending, it sucked way more then 2's. I didn't like RDR's ending, you shoot this retired old fart while he's fishing. If it was I that wanted revenge I would have taken him down in front of everyone. Completely and utterly destroy his life.
OH OH OH! SYSTEM SHOCK 2! Such an awesome game with such an anticlimactic ending.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YLMk1E41kE yeah I'm way too lazy to embed that.
Kotor 2; "The rest of the game made up for it." Seriously? The game being good is what makes the company being forced to ship an unfinished product with a random haphazard ending and fifty loose ends sitting in a crashed ship more frustrating.
I'd have purchased another Kotor game though, I won't buy another Assassin's Creed game, I hate that 'TO BE CONTINUED' crap. It helps that the only thing I liked about it was the holy land, renaissance Italy, pfft.
I would have to say the orgininal Fallout 3 ending, they way I see it it went somthing like this:
Sara lyons: "one of us must scrifice ourselves!...I'd do it but its more dramitic if you do"
Lone wanderer: "wait..die?? Look Im all for doing whats right, but dying?....I didn't sign up for that!"
Sara lyons: "fine I'll do it! but threedog's gonna be real pissed at you....selfish *****"
Lone wanderer: "what about fawkes? can't he do it?"
Fawkes: "No freind, it is your DESTINY!"
Lone wanderer: "to die just like dad? thats so stupid, he got himself killed for no reason!"
Fawkes: "YOUR DESTINY!!!"
Lone Wanderer: "but...but after all the good I did? after everything Ive been through? "
Sara lyons: "seriously we'll all remeber you forever...or we won't whatever Just do it already Im getting bored here"
Lone wanderer: "*sigh* alright Im doing it...you know being good really sucks...I wish I nuked magaton"
Fable 3. OMG it was horrible. The game forces you to either be one extremist or the other. And being good is the wrong choice. Everyone dies if your good. I mean, they die in a drunken stupor after you stop the taxes on alcohol, but still dead.
And it just doesn't make sense. I mean, the evil comes from another FUCKING CONTINENT! It envelopes your goddamned watchpost, crosses the sea, then lays siege to the heart of your kingdom. And your idiot of a commander is standing there going, "I can't believe they're already here!"
You know what, Mr. Cliched-mentor-father-figure? Maybe if you did your friggin job we wouldn't be in this mess!
Well, the ending isn't bad if you have the funds to protect and be favoured by the people, Which I did. You just need millions and millions of gold to be ready before you take on the crawler near Aurora.
