How to Train Your Dragon. I learned this from experience, man.
Wait, why? That movie was frakking awesome!

Anyway.
I say Up. My favourite movie ever, but I don't think my date would approve of my 'manly man status' if I start tearing up in the first 15 minutes of the movie.

30 Days of night. I laughed at very inappropriate times lol.
I took a date to that movie and we both loved it, we had a great time. It just might not be a good first date movie.

OT: I don't really think there is one. Some people like different things and what works for one date may not for another.

The Human Centipede
Actually my friend and his girlfriend watched this on a date. Then again both of them enjoy terrible (as in quality, not content) movies, so they both got a kick out of it.

I reckon Piranha 3D would be the worst kind of movie you could see.

Lots of gore, Kelly Brooke naked. If that doesn't make your girlfriend feel insecure about her body then I don't know what will.

On a serious note, a wise person I know once said

"On a date, never watch a movie where the guy doesn't get the girl in the end."

Which is annoying because it rules out 2 of the very small number of rom-coms I like, Annie Hall and (500) Days of Summer, however I think it has an element of truth in it.

You don't want to watch a movie about a relationship stagnating, because on some level (concious or subconcious), it just puts bad ideas in their head. In the same way that hearing a story about someone who seizes the moment makes you more impulsive, watching a movie like Annie Hall can only put negative things into the relation.

True that. It does depend on the girl. Why can't you handle those kinds of movies though?
You're going to love this, but; in slashers, cute girls often die horribly for no apparent reason. I know it's chauvinistic bullshit, but I just can't stand it. It's bad enough if it happens to guys, but with women (and children) it's...different. I'm sort of like Harry Dresden, if you've read those books. Everyone has their weaknesses, right?

That, but mainly because they're just so...stupid. The last time I watched a slasher it was about some monster that kept people in submerged cages. He prodded them with a harpoon to check if they were alive. So one girl and a guy managed to trick him and escape, and at one point were standing over the monster, who was unconcious, with his harpoon in hand. Naturally they ran away. I would've caved my skull in if I facepalmed.

So slashers usually bore me and disgust me a bit. Torture porn just plain disgusts me.
