Meet the spartans. And to think I enjoyed that, I need a shower (NOTE I was young and stupid when I saw it and I did not take them seriously at all.)

War movies. The first thing I want to remember about my first date is watching some guy put his guts back inside his torso after he got hit with an RPG or something.

Star Trek, maybe?
The inevitable Justin Bieber movie?
Oooh, the Wizard!
Sin City!
Clockwork Orange? Speaking of which... to the library!

Counting good movies only (as bad movies would be too simple), I would have to pick "La Dialectique peut-elle casser des briques?"

Excellent choice. A film with violent and rude content. It still is in my 10 ten films. But I would never in a hundred sober years watch that on a date. I'd say Inception because if you go for a kiss/snog you'll miss some part of the film and have no idea what is going on.

The Human Centipede does come to mind
Agreed. My answer is The Human Centipede. I don't think that anyone would say it's date material. :p

dunno, it all depends on how long you've been in the relation.. date #1, or #100.. etc. As a blanket rule, i'd say the pro-domestic abuse lobby's masterpiece - Twilight, but some people are in to that kinda stuff...

The Human Centipede does come to mind, also Hostel :p
I immediately thought Human Centipede when I saw the title. Scrolled through to see if anyone had already mentioned... winner winner! I second that notion. *shudder*

No, you actually want to watch a shitty movie. Then you can gauge your date's reaction. Nobody wants to date somebody who has bad taste in movies. It's likely they'll have bad taste in other things.
Good thought, but I already know that she has bad taste because she's on a date with me, so I might as well watch a good movie.

Beat This:

When I was about 14 years or so I rented an anime movie to watch with a girl I had a big crush on. I was not well versed in anime and had only seen a few things like Robotech, Guyver and MD Geist. I found this VHS with a kick ass demon on it and thought that this was to be a sure hit (she is cool, so I didnt need a chick flick).

The title of the movie was Urotsukidōji. For those well versed in such movies you might guess the rest, but for those who arent, here is what transpired:

We sat down to watch, and just about when the demons started appearing in some hospital...the demons also sprouted extremely huge and long dicks and proceeded to rape both the hospital and the girls in it.

I was in complete shock (and she was needless to say wierded out.......) and it was one of the absolutely most embarassing and awkward moments of my life.
