So dear escapists? Which game has sent you into blind rage after all those hours?

For me its Fable and Broken Hearts (old czech RPG maker game about which you have never heard of)
Fable was good game while it lasted but in the end you felt like old useless hero. Just as Yahtzee said - unfullfilled epicness.

I never knew why was that game called Broken hearts until the end. It was really good game, story was something like god of war, combat wasnt turn-based so it was about skill and game was really hard, boss fights were creative and I loved FF6 style of graphic and music. Of course it had its flaws. Little too much of random encaunters, lots of sprites stolen from other games and few bugs. First time I was playing I got somewhere near the end but I havent finished it until recently (which is 3 or 4 years gap). Those 3-4 years Ive considered as one of the best games I have ever played and it was probably on 2. spot of my top 10 list but when ending came everything has changed. It came out of nowhere, many game features like RTS aspect were never used, lots of locations unexplored and lots of questions unaswered but worst was the story. As I said it had in my opinion one of the better stories and in RPG maker games its usualy main aspect of the game that keeps you playing but in the end, there was nothing accomplished, there was only worst possible cliffhanger and ofcourse sequel was canceled. I have never felt so betayed it would probably took hour or so to make better ending cutscene but all we knew was that nothing was accomplished...

Easily Halo 2's.

You just don't end such a hyped game with a cliffhanger. And the final boss wasn't all that great either.

Jericho. It's up there at least. Whether or not it's the worst, it's up there. I'm one of the few people who found it a flawed decent game, rather than the terrible garbage which it's usually portrayed as. That being said, terrible ending.

Fallout 3's, always (not Broken Steels). Not because of what happened, but because it's illogical:
Sacrificing yourself to save everyone was OK. What wasn't is how they made it so two companions could have done it for you safely but refused to as it was "your destiny". Simply removing them would have made it OK.

Especially considering the fact that the next one would be on a different console a fair few years later.

The ending of Timeshift.

You shoot down this Scarab ripoff, don't even get to kill the main badguy (it's done in a cutscene).

Then you get launched back to your own time, before everything bad happend that led up to the game, the game teases you a little then it goes onto sequal bateing.

I mean, just, Really?

Yeah totally this.
Except for, you know, the half hour long ending sequence in which all kinds of shit happen.

Honestly.

Anyway, I'll toss in Warioland on GameBoy. Punk-ass Mario stealing my castle. Go star in your own damn game.

Fallout 3's was too abrupt and didn't make sense. I'm still waiting for someone to convince me to get the GOTY edition so I can try Broken Steel.

[edit] Wait, never mind, the bugger is just ?20,-. The DLC is ?50,-, how the hell did they do that? Meh, not complaining. *orders*

Or wanted.
Because they made that, I had to explain to my social/culture studies class why Midgar was not a representation of Hiroshima after the nuking.(Yes, my teacher brought in the video, made us watch it, and I was the only otaku in class)

OT: Worst game ending ever? Fallout 3. I know they fixed it with the recent down-loadable content, but I can't afford that.
So you either die, or be a dick.
I did both.
And I was left with a feeling of "what was it all for?"

FF7 was pretty unsatisfying.

But I think the worst one might be My Hero on Sega Master system.
It starts out with a couple on a bench. Some douche comes by, knocks the hero down and takes his gf.
After the final boss you just start instantly at the beginning again only everything goes faster. Terrible. It might end, but after "solving" it 7 times everything was so fast it was more or less impossible for regular human beings.

Advent Children Complete is better, about an hour longer, but it still contains the fail that is Advent Children Cloud. The idea of him being pissed that the stigma meant he couldn't fight very well wasn't a bad one, but the whole pathetic emo 'Aeris forgive me' thing was complete crap.

Link's Awakening? Hoo-wee, that irritated me. I mean, I'm not one to pry for plot in a Zelda game, but it just made the whole thing feel pointless.
