And I don't mean the half hearted attempts you find online, I mean the ones you pay money for. Got a bad experience?
The worst I've ever come across is Shadow Hearts Covenant. It was just so vague. It rarely offered actual solutions and was more interested in telling you what will happen when you figure out what you're supposed to do. Fortunately there is an amazing and free guide online. But damn, I paid money! Bastards!
The worst of the Final Fantasy guides is FFIX, which notoriously offered most of the good info as online content, which I believe doesn't exist anymore. But you can find anything online these days. Unlike SHC, it isn't vague and will get you through just fine.
Furthermore, wtf is up with Kmart selling Assassin's Creed II guides for $50??? EB have always sold their soft cover guides for $25 as far as I recall. How's a massive chain like Kmart coming to a price like that?!
