Dragonball Z Raging blast 2, it has a downgrade of graphics from the first, a 20 minute shitty remake of an anime movie that was never released in North America, oh and they took out the story mode(WTF?!).

Carmageddon 64.

I technically didn't buy it I got it free when I joined the old mail order company Special Reserve. It was still shit though.

I traded it in the same day.

I recently bought Star Wars the best of PC because I thought to myself "I would like to play a good Star wars game and I would also like to get into PC gaming."

Knights of the old Republic is working fine and I may play more of it later on, but my laptop crashes when I try to install Republic Commando, Battlefront and Jedi Knight II. Well thats £20 down the drain until I can get the games working. Its properly because I need something other than a laptop, but I don't have the money for another PC.

So many people picking on FF13... common people, it wasn't a BAD game. It just wasn't a particularly good game. So when compared to 7,8 and 9... it pales in comparison.

worst purchase... that would be the nintendo wii. played it maybe 2 hours in the month i had it. sold for the price i paid, so nothing really lost. guess that doesn't count.

Transformers, War for Cybertron. There are a lot of easy to get trophies in that game i should really just get... but i die a little every time i open its case.

The worst game I've ever bought was a DS J-RPG called The World Ends with You that I found in the bargain bin. I could have used that ten dollars to make a royal pig of myself at Wendy's or something, but nah, I apparently was too attached to the prospect of playing yet another Japanese game about whiny fashion-disaster teenagers. There really wasn't any redeeming value in this game to speak of.

Fable 3, I wasted £60 on the special edition on that piece of shit! (Though the extra stuff that came with it was cool)

Why did they streamline (read, simplify) a game that was already fucking streamlined in Fable 2! Why was I given even LESS choice than before?! That's what the whole god-damn franch- Sorry about that, I'll stop before it's too late

Some of you are making me feel so old. Are you just really young, or have you actually not played a bad game until 5 years ago or less? XD I have a few games that come to mind as the worst ones I ever bought, but only one or two are recent ones. And they aren't so much 'bad' games as they're bad for the value. Force Unleashed 2 has decent gameplay and a decent story, but it's very very short with zero replay value. Fallout New Vegas isn't bad (once you get past the bugs which quite a few have been patched away), but with so many reused textures, environments, near-identical gameplay, it feels like an expansion pack for Fallout 3 that drags a little too long (like this sentence XD).

Okay, the real worst games I've ever bought in Top 3 List form:

1. Superman (N64) - this game is legendary, so I'm not sure I have to explain; but... Horrible graphics, a lifeless environment, and padded out by an insane obstacle course that was impossible to navigate with the broken flight controls.

2. Justice League Task Force (SNES) - I played this in one sitting, not even trying all of the characters, then never touched it again. A very boring cookie cutter fighting game that pales in comparison to other fighting games. When your fighting game could easily be recreated (and improved) in Mugen, something is wrong. I had more fun with Shaq-Fu.

3. Alone in the Dark (Xbox360) - I know, I'm naming a more recent game, but this one stings a lot. This game looked so good in previews, especially the item creation and fire effects. It could have been a great game if not for some horrendous design choices and tons of bugs. And there's a button to control your eyelids (blinking and closing them) - not sure if that's a positive or a negative...

Splinter Cell Conviction for Mac OS X..

I got the game thinking I could play it while I was going on a small business trip when I found out that I needed a constant internet connection to play the game because of a DRM shit.. I have purchased so many ubisoft games in the past. As a matter of fact i have all the games that came out for the Splinter cell series.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Not because it's a bad game or I just don't like it, no no no no no, but because I just couldn't play it. I had run checks and found my Laptop could run it like superman can run a child's treadmill, but then I actually got it, costing all the money I had, only to find out it needed Hardware T&L. And guess what my Laptop's Graphics Chip doesn't have.

I think it was called Summoner or Summoning on the PS2. I only got it because the box art look kinda snazzy and I was young and impressionable at the time. I think I only played it once and didn't like it.

Rainbow Six Vegas I bought and never played too, though that was cheaper than Summoner/ing.

Splinter Cell: Conviction. Worst. Splinter Cell. Game. Ever. It's so easy, the AI has a combined IQ of about 4 (even that is a stretch) and whenever I play with people online they just run off and try to kill guys, even though it's a FUCKING STEALTH GAME!!!

worst thing I've ever bought was technically Overlord and Overlord 2 i really like both of the games i just don't play them enough. For the most part i try the games before hand or get recommendations from lots of friends so i don't get screwed. and i think i paid $4 for both on a steam sale, "because steam is just so gosh darned convenient and inexpensive" -Yahtzee
