Ready? Ya ready for it? I've got two:
Lost Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Now, to be fair, for all I know LO is really good as far as JRPG's go, but when I played it it was so boring it was nothing short of painful. I actually clocked it, and for the first ten hours--the point where I gave up to go hit myself with a hammer--forty minutes out of every hour were cutscenes, and the rest was either following hyperlinear pathways or working my way through the mind-numbing combat system. It might've been really good past that point, and it might've been an excellent JRPG, but it was so slow, plodding, predictable, and bland that I literally broke down crying at the 9 1/2 hour mark.
Secondly, Twilight Princess: take what I just mentioned (Boring, boring, BORING!), only change the plot around so that it doesn't make a lick of sense and add boring real-time combat instead of boring turn-based combat. Oh, and stupid made-for-walkthrough scratchn'sniff puzzles. Lotsa those.
