wow, that was my thought before I actually opened up your thread! (but after I'd seen your question of course) WORST I've ever played is Superman 64, for obvious reasons. I've kept my copy all these years only because it was so bad.

I'll also give an uncommon answer: Pac-Man world 2 on the SNES. Its a POINT and CLICK game posing as a platformer, using the Pac Man license.

Oh man, "Call of Duty 3: The Massive F*ck up." (It wasn't actually called that.)
The people who constantly ***** about MW2 obviously never played this mound of garbage.

I thought this was a belter of a game. Really under-rated.

The Flatout games are friggin' awesome, a bit of tweaking and more emphasis on taking out your opponents and they'd come close to Burnout.

Worst game I ever played is "D2" for the Sega Dreamcast. Completely incomprehensible garbage. Maybe the uncut Japanese edition wasn't completely ridiculous but even that seems like a stretch. And the retarded finale montage, WTF!

You know, I actually think Shaq Fu gets a worse rap than it deserves. I mean, yes, it's bad, but it doesn't really play much worse than any of the other generic slew of fighters that came out in the mid to late nineties. It's just considered worse because of the goofy premise.

My least enjoyable gaming experiences almost certainly all come from playing sports games, which my brother loves. I don't enjoy any aspect of them, but I can't cite an individual game because to me they're just "baseball game, hockey game" etc. I keep waiting for the ball to set on fire or my batter to get a raccoon tail or something. I mean, come on, it's a videogame, isn't that how these things are supposed to work? The real sport's fun is limited by the physical laws of the universe, a virtual version is not. Why simulate reality when you can improve it?

End rant.
wii fucking sports bent reality whenever in played it... least on Baseball. Everytime i would play, my dad's Mii would not be playing on my team. for some ridiculous reason, my Dad's Mii would hit brilliant shots, and when he was fielding, hit the ball near his direction, he would rocket off his spot and grab it.
My friends at school didn't believe me, so when they came over i loaded up a game of baseball. my first hit was a nice shot, flew toward second base about 10 feet above all the players... not high enough for my dad's frikking mii, which jumped up at least twice its own height in order to catch it. my friends watched, with their mouths wide open, and i was dissapointed... he'd jumped higher before :p

but other than that,i agree entirely with your post. whats the point in sport games where they are bound by realism. the most fun i've had with sports games was playing a "red card" match against a friend, where basically, the Ref never books anyone... it consisted mostly of us just slide tackling each other's goalies for the 5 minutes it lasted... but i can't really say i ever had even THAT much fun with it. Now i've got 'Kongball' in my real life, a game with basically no rules (no eye gouging, tongue biting or using a weapon of any sort... i think are the unspoken rules that we at least all follow) where we fling ourselves at each other in attempt to get one tiny hackysack, tennis ball, ping pong ball, whatever, to the other side of the pitch (you can't score by kicking it across, the pitch isn't very big).
sport is so much more fun with friends in real life than on a game... the only sport game i can kind of understand people playing are those football manager ones. really though, those are boring as hell and the only people who play them have them running in the background, occasionally glancing at it whilst they do work or important things.

rouge warrior, sniper ghost warrior, this is both a Mw1 and 2 Rip off the assault missions are the worst of this game along with its ending, singularity because it just really wasn't that great way too easy and of cause the Medal Of Honor beta this is a POS. Played it on PC only because I had BFBC2 also and wow, the display settings say " Set Television settings " yeah not a xbox360 post at all DICE >:|

I absolutley hated The Outfit

there is no reason why driving a vehicle should be that tedious
Play Borderlands or Mass Effect.

Anyway... Superman 64. Because it's Superman 64. And I don't so much hate games as I do dislike them... but I hated that game. I wanted it to die. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!

Unfortunately, it was a rented copy...

...

I still should have killed it.

Ok there's a bit of a muddle here. You just called it a 'fine' game, and it's the worst game you've ever played..wut? Sure I think its a piece of garbage but it was fun while it lasted and it got me through my November-February Holidays.
Worst game I've ever played.... Project Snowblind for my Playstation 2. I couldn't even get through the first level where you're meant to be all super-soldiered out, I just got raped to pieces by pixelled enemies I couldn't even see.

It's a three way tie between Iron Man, Fracture, and COD3 but Iron Man takes the cake as the first and only movie game I will ever play. Here's Iron Man's core gameplay. Fly here, dodge rockets with a shitty dodge mechanic(either that or time it and catch the rocket which was impossible to time and throw it back at the enemy but by that time 6 more rockets had directly impacted you and you missed your target) shoot at repetetive enemies who's rockets are way over-stocked, fly here, defeat boss that takes two seconds to understand his pattern, whaaaaa? more respawning repetetive enemies?
I did enjoy the flying though...for one level.
Armor and weapons upgrade...there was absolutely no difference if you had everything upgrade, enemies would just spawn that much faster once you killed them with upgraded stuff.

CoD 3 for wii

the only good thing was the Polish crying for the Canadians the rest of it was just chore after chore of unresponsive controls

I just follow IGN, Game FAQs forums, Gamespot and the Escapist's own Zero Punctuation and skip the crap produced for a cash grab

Crap Gameplay, Godawful Offensivly Bad Story, and just basically a Handbook on how to not make a game. EVER.
And we have a HATER =P
I guess people have different tastes.
I myself despise Two worlds and Big Riggs
By that logic everyone posting in this thread is a hater. How is posting a name of a crap game in a 'Worst Game EVAR" thread make me a hater?

Lego Star Wars II for the Nintendo DS. God, the bugs and glitches in that game made it impossible to 100% it at all.
Yeah I bought that when I was in the UK a couple of years ago, I thought it was some kind of region problem at first but I tried it on my friend (who I was staying with) DS and it was still fucked. So incredibly glitchy.

All these years I thought I was the only one. Also I didn't mind LOTR: Conquest. I played CO-OP with my roommate and we had fun. Then we made our own little game out of it. 2v2 hero deathmatch on the shire, both of the good guys use gandalf and both of the bad guys use Saruman. So much fun.

I'm usually pretty lucky and don't end up with games that I hate, until recently that is. I got Lost Planet 2 a couple of months ago and it sucks. No story, no characters, all you do is get data posts and the difficulty makes it virtually impossible to play without co-op.

I played this game that was called something like "Earth Defence Force 2120" or something. Some kind of year I'm too lazy to look it up. It was so bad, but it was HILARIOUS because it was so bad. Me and my friend played it for 5 hours straight just laughing our asses off.

Either that or...

It's like you took the words right out of my mouth...

I know, I know, everyone has their opinion. And the games not horrible, it's just...

It wasn't great. It wasn't even good. But because so many are deluding themselves into thinking it's the "BEST SHOOTER, EVAR!!!" all of the gaming companies are trying to copy it's design, ruining the fps genre. All the hard work that Halo and Call of Duty 4 had done to bring good story into fps games, and it goes down the tubes...
And pretty soon you'll be saying the same thing about MW2 you are about COD4 and halo, just like everyone used to insult those games. Or at least Halo.
