I absolutely despise 'operation flashpoint' i couldn't get past the first mission to a combo of a lack of ammo, impossible to spot enemies ans the fact it told me to use a key that i had no idea here it was, it wasn't even in the control scheme
oh and spore
(dark muttering)
Ohhh that game sound absolutely dreadful.

I'd probably say Dead Rising. That game is so fucking atrocious I have no idea how in the hell it got a sequel. A saving system that makes the game far more difficult than it should be, standard-issue shitty Capcom controls, standard-issue shitty Capcom storyline. Ugh....

I wanted to like this game so much. Everything seemed right (i don`t mind the wacky japanese storytelling in this franchise), but the save system ruined it for me too and i hated the timer, it ruined the fun in freeroam.
The second DR got another chance because i was able to get it cheap at the release. Dumb mistake, i should have learned my lesson by then.

Dead or Alive: Beach Volleyball for the old X-Box.

I laughed my ass off the first 30 minutes, but after the novelty of polygon titties works off, you are left with a terrible game.

I have no idea what games you play, but I tend to stay away from the obvious garbage ones. The game play was a joke. The story devolved into drivel after the first hour or two. I'm sure hard rain is a lot better, but I don't play console games so I'll likely never know. But the absolute only thing going for Fahrenheit or Indigo Prophecy is the story line. And they completely dropped the ball on that compared to any videogame I have played, and I can look past almost every other flaw if the dialogue/story is actually good. I would have preferred it if you just played as an insane person who murdered some guy, and then you got to decide if he got away or if they police caught him by playing both sides. I might have even considered it an alright game if it did that. I mean besides of course the push left then right to brush your teeth, push up then down to penetrate woman weirdness it had.
I definitely see your point. I've played it, and I liked it, but I guess it can be pretty bad. It seems more like an experiment - they tried a new kind of technology and a fairly odd storyline. I liked it enough to play, in fact, the first time around I thought it was fairly brilliant and innovative. But all counterpoints you had were valid. It could certainly have been handled better. Hmm... I'll definitely try Hard Rain, though. Seems like that could be even better.

I'm stunned at the number of mediocre games listed here as WORST. You want worst?

Bebes Kids on the SNES, I think there's one LP of it ever and its bad, it's so bad. I don't think I made it past the second screen because every enemy seems to take 500 hits to beat

I liked Dead Rising. You are right though about the saving system.

Tunnel B-1 for the PS1 anyone??? What a load of pish... there was also this fighting game I cannot remember the name of, for the PS1, that had you flying round inside a massive cube in the sky and using psychic powers and stuff, that was pretty terrible too if I remember. Maybe i just made it up :S.

Off the top of my head, the Family Guy game on the PS2. I'm sure there's worse, but I probably blocked it out.
I find that games based on television shows and movies tend to be very mediocre at best.

Alien 3 for the Snes is probably the worst game I've ever played to completion. I hope you like backtracking through vents as you do variants on the same inane mission ten times because THIS game certainly does. It was one of those games that confused inconvenience with challenge. Christ I don't know how I managed to finish that one.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the GBA earns a dishonorable mention but its problems had more to do with it being a Game Boy Advance game that was trying to ape a PS2 era game.

I've played E.T for the sole reason that it WAS bad, so I won't really count that.
But yeah it was fucking bad.
Worst game I've ever played though...hmm...

The only one that really comes to mind right now is Oblivion. Just couldn't play it. Hated the combat, hated the controls, and the story just didn't grab my attention quickly enough to deal with it. I can appreciate why people love it so much...but I just couldn't stick with it. Seriously, first person sword combat just...doesn't...work.

AH I tell you what, Halo Wars was pretty ngh in my opinion, too. It was alright for a little while but it lacked any real depth. It's cool though, I got it on offer for 70p and traded it in for £3. Say whaaa xD.

But yeah, to say these games were bad wouldn't be fair. But they are the games I remember disliking the most. There are probably others but those two come to mind(Y).

edit: Ugh I tried so hard to like Oblivion:(. But also, yeah Far Cry 2 was...not great either. Again, tried hard to stick by it but...agh.

ALSO, YEAHYEAH CRYSIS 2. The stealth seemed pointless and it was horrifically repetitive, I thought. Just found myself getting bored. *thinks some more*.

If TD:U2 was anything like the first one, yeah... It's like a driving game from a decade ago in the way it handles and the game play options.

I wasn't particularly taken by Forza 4 either. Loved Forza 3, I waited for F4 to come down it price though. They did a COD job on it. Forza 3 + DLC and a graphics spit shine.

probably not the worst game ever but definitely the biggest disappointing pile of poop was Fable 3. The 1st fable was such a great game aswell :S

ET is infamous for how bad it is.
