Two Worlds.

I've come to suspect that the only reason it even exists is so that I have an immediate answer to these types of threads.
Same here, I'd like to make a joke about The Taint and how it was a terrible game or something but it's just too easy.

A racing game with futuristic hovercars sounds fun, right? Well, how about a racing game with some extremely bland futuristic hover cars that don't go over 20 MPH and constantly fall through the floor of the map?
Maybe the game thought that inertia actually was fatal, so you're not allowed to gain any.

ET the extra terrestrial or whatever the name of that old game based on ET was called. It's pretty classic for it's sheer terribleness (it's apparently up there in the top 10 of worst games of all times) and chances are you've heard of it. I can honestly say it was the most nauseatingly fucking awful thing I've ever played.
That was really awful my fellow geriatric.
ET is easy to remember because it was so bad it crashed the industry and there's all the urban legends of the ancient video game burial ground where tons of them were buried....
and those poor people who lived in the house built over it for a while.

I also remember the Raiders of the Lost Ark game (my friend Greg had it) being just as awful. Movie based games have always been bad.
Ah, sorry, I should've mentioned I wasn't actually existing at the time that game was released. I just found this site that let me play old games for the ... NES was it? I'm not sure, but I found this site that let me play EXACT copies of old games online and ET was one of them. So I gave it a try.
Worst thing I've ever done. And I feel sorry for anyone who actually PAID for that game.
But, I'm no geriatric though, haha.

Two top-down adventure, abandon-ware Super NES roms, both with sticky, unworkable combat, terrible framerates, lousy animation, flimsy plotting, pathetic maps, and useless weapons:
Big Sky Trooper (which I finished)
King Arthur and the Knights of Justice (which I did not)

Rainbow Six for the GBA. Imagine all the complexities of Tom Clancy games. The stealth, the radar, the different guns and grenades and visors and shit. Now imagine it on a 50 pixel screen with 2 buttons to control it all and no in game tutorial.

You guys can complain about Skyrim and Assassins creed all you want, at least those games are essentially playable.

Soldier of Fortune 3

I don't know what happened to that decent shooter series, SoF2 was epic back in the days.
Customizable kit, random level generator. Then someone made it turn pffffrrrtttt.

The 2008 Alone in the Dark wii version. That is the last time I buy a game from hype alone without checking the reviews.

Hmm... I've played spore, and liked it then, and I've played Max Payne, didn't like it, though... Probably the original Deus Ex. Just couldn't get into it. For me, it just felt awkward and old. It's not aged well.

Wait, what? I liked it. A lot. It had great movement capture tech, and a pretty great story. At least in the beginning. Granted, it was mostly QTE's, but with some improvements, they would be awesome. It does things better than a lot of current games, but it's not perfect. Far from the worst, though.

Sonic the Hedgehog: 2006 and Shadow the Hedgehog
The mere fact these abominations (ok, so 2006 was mentioned once but..shadow wasn't so it still counts dammit!) were not mention on this thread earlier means either:
A) People didn't play them (You lucky bastards you!)
B) They've repressed the experience..understandably.
C) Or, for some unexplainable reason, people thought they were good games.

I'm really disliking Thief: The Dark Project so far. Ugliness aside, the stealth is so easy a chimp could master it, the controls and combat are really awkward (For some reason you aren't allowed to walk backwards and I had to bind keys just so I could strafe. :l), they don't do much to establish the lore or the characters so the story feels hollow at this point, the AI is so thick I actually dispatched two of my foes by making them drown themselves. That said, it does have a sort of stupid charm to it, especially the voice acting (of everyone besides the protagonist) and the hilarious animations.

I got literally zero enjoyment out of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and I still call that just about the worst game I've ever played. Spend half an hour skulking and sneaking, fire one shot and have every man and helicopter on the island riding up your ass within the second. I must be doing something really wrong in that game, because I feel like I wasted two dollars on it.

I never personally played it but, come on now.
But it is the greatest street cleaning of all time!

OT: I think Shadow the Hedgehog is probably the worst game I've ever played. Gods it was just too awful for words. Or Alone in the Dark, that was pretty damn awful too.

That would be Pimp My Ride: The Game

You customize cars (which is staggeringly more disappointing than you would expect), then you drive the car back to the client and the driving controls are dogshit. Along the way back you can play "minigames" and "side missions" which basically involve quick time events that control people in the neighbourhood dancing around your car while you slowly drive it through the street.

Oh and terrible voice acting.
I can't help but think YDI for believing for a second that a pimp my ride game would be anything other than agonizing.

Having played two worlds 2 I can sympathize with you there. It was horrible. My personal choice tho would have to be Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire. I've had physical injuries that were more fun than playing that garbage. I broke the disk within 20 mins of "gameplay" so I'd never have to be exposed to it ever again.
