Worst Lag You've Ever Had?

Okay, I'm frustrated. I was playing an MMO called Mabinogi, and there was an event on it. This event had two "Channels" (of five, only two were full) last time I checked. I don't quite know how to explain channels, but I'll try. They're alternate versions of the game world on a server, and usually only one or two are laggy.

This event, the Masquerade, in honor of a new Shakespeare-inspired quest line, is on right now. And the lag made my game crash. Or rather, the influx of players caused the game to lag and crash me out. I've tried logging back in and it's showing my friends list empty and my guild non-existent because of the overload of players and the lag.

So, after this short rant, I want to ask you guys and gals on the Escapist: What's the worst lag you've ever suffered from? How'd you deal with it? Do you know the cause? If so, what was it?

The worst lag I've ever encountered was in Bad Company 2, and I dealt with it by dying a lot and then quitting.

World of warcraft - Dalaran - any afternoon. Framerate dropping from a solid 60 to 0.1 in fucking seconds.

I tried pumping the graphics' settings to full for Trine on my graphics-card-less, chip-set using non-gaming laptop.

OH MY GOD. THE FRAMERATE.

For multiplayer lag?

Some hilariously bad shit on Rainbow Six Vegas 2 back in the day.

On the Escapist. For the last couple of days.....ARRRRRRRGH!!!!

Other than that, some Halo 3 and COD games have been horrible. Homefront used to be bad but they kinda fixed it now.

Call Of Duty games on the 360.
Those bloody American hosts killing me all the time
even though i emptied half a clip into them before they
shot at me, or at least before i could see them shooting
at me on my end.

Yeah, many rage quits because of that.

I usually get 50-60 ping on TF2, but sometimes it can jump up to around the 350 mark, making for some truly shit-tastic gaming.

A few weeks ago.
I was playing Rift, and I don't know why, but my ping shot up to about 30000/ms. I couldn't even log out.

Always Call of Duty, whenever someone quits the game. 'Tis annoying.
How did I deal with it? I just turned my XBox off.

I remember being in a raid in Tempest Keep when TBC was current and having 24,000 ms. We just ran about poking Kael and generally bashing the keyboard while the mages attempted to get portals going.

Crysis 2 multiplayer a few days ago, good lord, firing at where someone was 15 seconds ago because they are rubber banding all over the place and are now on the other side of the map! hell even watching the kill cams made no sense, getting killed by someone firing 3 feet to the left of me...

There is a point at which lag makes the game unplayable. Once you go beyond that, worse cases of lag become irrelevant.

So I was playing TF2, and I see a spy, with a name, and we start swinging our knives at each other. I jump back, looking at him, and must've caught my own hitbox.

My computer tried to run Left 4 Dead 2.

After maybe fifteen minutes of loading, I was put in game with .01 FPS. I waited a couple minutes and it moved one frame.

Also, it's not my worst lag but it's related, whenever I played either L4D my old, better computer would always lag every five minutes or so. And somehow, it ALWAYS happened when I was reviving someone or healing, stopping the process, and would usually cost us the match.
