The new mortal kombat can be very laggy. Any fighting game with bad lag becomes an exorcize in frustration. The ability to pull off combos is impossible, so fights usually just turn into who can jump kick uppercut the fastest because you sure as hell aren't hitting anything else.

I once Played Halo 3 on a dongle, it was laggy as all hell, but that was to be expected.

Aliens vs Predator is all round laggy game though, which is a shame, because the online can be brilliant.

In terms of worst ever, WoW. My net would drop every 10 minutes on the dot during certain time periods. It would drop completely and reconnect in the space of about 5 seconds, just enough for my connection to the WoW server to cut so I'd have to spend about 5 minutes waiting for it to drop me to the character screen and then trying to sign back in. It made anything worthwhile in that game - PvP, dungeons, raiding - completely impossible for me for a while.

Recently, it's been with League of Legends. I'm now at Uni in shitty university housing, with shitty university housing internet. In peak times my MS goes from 350 (which is as good as it gets) to 4000.

I once pinged around 3280 in a League of Legends game because my college caps your bandwidth if you use too much. I quit because it was unplayable.

In Call of Duty 2, I got lagged all the way back to the other side of the map (time rewind lag).
This usually happened when my friend who was hosting the game on his pc alt-tabbed to view his MSN...

My first game of Dawn of War 2 Last Stand. Lagged every third second. Really gave me a shitty impression. My second game lagged too, though not as much. And all other games have been just fine.

I think the worst lag I experienced was on a game called Goonzu. I'd start smacking a monster, and nothing would seem to be happening. Four minutes later, all of the monsters teleported and colorful numbers popped up while my corpse laughed at me.

Had lag on Halo reach where I couldn't see anyone except for my team and my health went down randomly (I assume it was when the other teams shot and killed me)

Minecraft' literally FILLING a pit in the ground about 50*50 from bedrock to the sky solid with TNT. Don't do it kids; you'll regret it later.

Me and my friend set up a Minecraft server for us personally (we took it down due to reasons ahead).

Lag was horrible. Communication was nonexistant, since chat messages took around two minutes to actually display.

I once saw a creeper when I was outside, and I ran inside. The creeper ran over to the spot I was standing, blew up, and I took around four hearts of damage, even though I was in the safety of my house.

Years ago playing America's Army, my ping showed like 280. Good for the time. I ran up behind someone pointing out a window with my m249 and point blanked like 60 rounds into his back. About 3 seconds later he casually turns around and blows me away unhurt.

Same game, I once threw a grenade outside a building through a doorway and turned around and ran. Before it even hit the ground I was an additional room away inside the building and when it exploded it said I killed myself with my grenade. Not only was I probably at least 7x the distance of it's even light damage radius, but I was inside a building with like 3 sets of walls between it and I.

That game had crappy detection and other glitches anyway and I strongly suspect it misreported your actual ping. But it pissed me off regardless.

Minecraft lagged so hard today that I think it thought I hadn't bought it so refused access to the MP.

When I used to play Counter-Strike 1.6 a lot me and some friends joined a server with an awful ping and tried play a few rounds and I remember I ran through a smoke grenade and my PC locked up with lag. I could hear things happening but nothing was moving then 20 seconds later the screen jumped back to life my character was about 400 metres away and dead.

I had some pretty terrible lag on WoW several years back when the AQ world event was happening.

Worst I've ever seen was when I played the Battlegrounds 2 mod for HL2 4-5 years ago. The terrible lag coupled with unreliable hitboxes meant that regardless of your skill level, you'd probably do as much dying as killing.
