Worst Main Character to a Videogame

Geralt "The Witcher" For such an awesome game i didn't like him. The part was well written and the character well thought out. But his overall look with his dull pouty face always bothered me, and the whole mutated albino thing doesn't VISUALLY fit (yes i know why storywise he looks this way), and he's looked at as sexual gold everywhere he goes. His dialogue could of been alot better considering how well the rest of the game is written. And if I close my eyes and imagine some other hero playing his role the game would be perfect. He just bothers me.

Don't get me wrong he didn't ruin the game by any means, i'm sorta nittpicking trying to think of something nobody else has said yet But i choose him because if that game had a REALLY likeable lead role, it would be one of my all time fav rpgs in my book. (And i have a pretty thick book) They should of changed him up in the enhanced edition lol.

in KOTOR it worked, but i can't think of any other game where it did. it feels weird and like you don't belong in the world.

He is not a main character, he is you.

In order to make you feel more "in the game" Valve has given him no dialogue or personality. What you get out of the game is not filtered through the characters personality, opinions, or thoughts. It is just you, and makes it a very unique experience.

Same goes for the Doom-marine. And no-one f*cks with the Doom-marine!
