I guess I don't really need to explain this one all that much. I've had a few pretty nasty conditions in the past. Almost stopped breathing once, injured my back and couldn't feel my legs for a while, even got trench foot once as the result of a bet. All these things were treated before they really got bad, so there's been no real lasting adverse effect. But that's beside the point, I wanna know: what's been the worst for you, broken bones, infectious disease, or something else?

I had terrible plantar fasciitis that kept me from running for three months. I still have to be conservative about my running in order to keep it from coming back. Other than that, I've always been very healthy.

EDIT:
Wait. Damn, how did I forget my near-death experience? My first hiking trip, I came rather unprepared and ended up with hypothermia. My friends and another hiker we met at the shelter on top of the mountain helped save my life by wrapping me in a thermal blanket, getting me in my sleeping bag, and filling a Nalgene bottle with boiled water from the fire and putting in my sleeping bag.

I was once sick 7 times in a day...?

No? Fine, I hardly seem to get ill. You can keep your nasty diseases!

I had this really bad Flu about 2 months ago although it could have been mono now that I think about it and it was also accompanied by it's friend stomach flu, so I was basically a wreck for an entire week and even after I got better it took me another week to recover from the worst giddiness I ever had. But I survived it but it was hard missing all those classes.

A few months ago I had a hemopneumothorax (my lung collapsed and started to fill with blood), which was no fun. I was in the hospital for almost a week.

I once had an ailment that completely paralyzed me with pain. I had low blood pressure, a low heart rate and a priority one ambulance come and get me because they thought I was bleeding out from the inside.

In 24 hours it was gone. The doctors never found out what happened to me. It's freaky as hell.

After a botched appendectomy with a serious post-surgical infection (woo NHS) I developed some weird thing where my stomach kept trying to dissolve itself whenever I got stressed, or ate anything not ultra-low fat (neurologist said it was the same pain intensity as being shot in the gut). Lost 3 stone in 2 weeks (wasn't heavy to begin with), was on morphine constantly for a year, and had to pull out of uni. Still dealing with the stigma of not having a degree (therefore never employable) so I'm borderline suicidal.

Yep, definitely my worst condition.

Had a Staph infection deep in my knee. Hurt like hell and I was stuck in the hospital for two weeks getting pumped full of antibiotics. Needless to say it wasn't fun.

I've never had a serious illness but I have a stomach ulcer and that was pretty bad a few years ago. For weeks I couldn't eat without vomiting or at least gagging for about half an hour afterwards.
Right now I have an abscess above one of my teeth, I had a filling replaced and the area around my nerves became infected. Due to that I had a headache for two weeks straight and now one side of my face is swollen, which is really sexy. So now I either have to get the tooth out or have a root canal thingy. Neither option seems terribly appealing.

I had appendicitis for 2 days.

Because my symptoms were uncommon i.e. my abdomen wasn't rigid, it was soft, so it threw the doctors off a little, I wasn't diagnosed with it until my pain went from unbearable pain, to excruciating agony.

The night before I returned to the hospital the following morning was the longest night of my life.

The worst medical I have experienced is one that I have had with me since I was a baby. When I was two I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in my left knee. Now, I have rheumatoid arthritis as well as osteoarthritis in both my left and right knees and two of my fingers.

Sleep Acnea (sp?). It's when you stop breathing in your sleep. I jolted awake every time it happened and it took my brain a couple seconds each time to wake up enough to get the lungs functioning again.

(Well, truth be told, it all happened because of a cold. Now that it's gone, I'm better, but I don't want to put up with Sleep Acnea again.)

I developed Shingles on my head when I was around 10, and the virus spread to my left eye. I needed to go to an ophthalmologist for a while, and I had to use eye drops for several months.

But more recently, I severed 2 tendons in my right hand in January, and needed to go through surgery (general anaesthetic) to get them re-attached. It's still healing, and isn't even at half strength yet.

Apparently, I nearly vomited myself to dehydration after I was born. In fact, the doctors say that I really shouldn't have survived.

One of many pieces of evidence that I am invincible.

I was born with horribly flat feet that had to be surgically corrected when I was 13. Which meant walking with flat feet that caused serious pain in my right foot if I walked more than a quarter of a mile. What sucked most was that I was stuck in a wheelchair for three months and then three months in crutches after that. What also sucks is that I have a metal plate in my leg that doesn't set off metal detectors.

Appendicitis is NASTY, especially when mine burst just before the operation to get it removed and I almost died. Also, watching Ace Ventura: Pet Detective while I had appendicitis was a bad idea- it hurt whenever I laughed, and I laughed a lot.
