I developed a pilonidal cyst that had to be removed then go back to the hospital every day for a month and a half to have the bandages and packing changed.

Skin cancer kind of sucked, it's all good now though.

I've also had my chest slashed in a knife fight, though I won't say why I was in that fight. Some friendly advice: knife fights are neither fun nor cool, despite what you may think.

I had some weird reactionary arthritis a year and a half ago. My joints swelled up and my feet were almost round. It felt like I was walking on glass shards.

Still not sure exactly what it was, but the doctor I saw 2 months after my recovery said it sounded like aforementioned arthritis.

Maybe not the worst thing that's happen to me, but I was sick for a month and a half so it FELT like the worst.

I have crohn's disease so yeah its sucks really really bad
First time poster, long time lurker, and I have a feeling this guy is me.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when I was 11, but I suffered since I was 10 due to medical experts not knowing what was wrong with me. Before I was diagnosed, my joints would swell up, including my elbows, knees, and ankles, and left me housebound and missing a lot of school. I couldn't eat or drink anything without needing a toilet nearby (that's still true today), as well as my appetite being non-existant. I could barely drink water without wanting to hurl or feeling my bowels cramp. Due to the medication I've been on, It's caused my bone age to suffer a lot, so I've also been diagnosed with Osteoporosis.

Since then (basically, my entire teen years), it has psychologically affected me to the point that I feel that I will always be rejected by my peers, by potential girlfriends, as well as other social circles as I don't think they want to have to babysit a guy who can't (literally) hold his shit, and it's caused me to develop no social life. On the plus side it does give me a few guidelines to live, as I can't drink much as it would massacre my liver, and it lets me know my limits.

This is me right now.

Just had wrist ligament reconstruction after first failed dorsal capsulodesis in 2007 for scapholunate dissociation. Went undiagnosed/untreated for 5 years, and chronic pain came back a year after surgery last time. Sucks because i'm an artist and use a computer for my work.

Sleep paralysis! :D - it's the closest sensation I've had to death! (apart from a car accident I had many many years ago and I'd JUST put my seatbelt on pretty much seconds before the crash).

It's pretty consistent too, and thus it's why I NEVER sleep on my chest or have anything heavy covering my chest. I also position my pillows so that my head is pitched backwards so I have a clearer airway- in case it happens; coz what's worse than a case of sleep paralysis where your body decides it no longer has the resources to move or wake up? the fact you can't breathe either (and sleep paralysis also affects breathing - you'll feel like you're breathing through a blocked straw).

However, I've found a way to thwart it and I remember it well so I've stopped panicking when it happens: wriggle your toes and fingers and gradually work your way until you're literally flailing your arms and legs and shaking your head around - that pretty much forces your body to jump-start and wake up fully.

Well to be honest i've never had anything extremely severe besides a few cracked ribs and a few broken fingers with a fractured arm after a bicycle accident when i was 11(the helmet did nothing!!!)
But a friend of mine really had it shitty, he got hit by a van that vent over his foot and caused it to break in seven places(two toes if i remember correctly) took 6 months to recover, his leg still is a bit weak.
I also have a very sensitive vertebrae and sometimes suffer from extreme back pains, so i have to use a specially designed bed, pillow and computer chair. I also normally go to a chiropractor and a massuse. The cause of this is the job i used to have(construction work when i was 14, for 7 months) fucked me up proper.

Lemme see...
I had leaukemia when I was six, pneumonia when I was seven/eight, and I'm currently living with migraines which are genetic and run in my mum's side of the family, stomache varices, portal hypertension AND splenomagly.
Other than all that, I'm fine.

A combination of broken ribs, a concussion, and a split lip.

Never broken any other bones or been seriously ill; my sister had bird flu, and apparently I'm immune, if we consider that I was largely the one who brought her meals and medicine and such.

Oh, yes. Severe depression and social anxiety disorder. CBT and major conifdence boosts work wonders though. Still with me, but I handle it a lot better, nowadays.

I had persistent asthma throughout my childhood, but it thankfully stopped when I hit puberty. And I vomited so much once that I literally couldn't move. I think it was actually a case of my body running out of nutrients. Muscle exhaustion/cramping, probably.

Oh, and acute social anxiety, which has returned with a vengeance in these past few months.

Well I was born with a hernia and apparently the power went out while I was in the operating room.

Since then the worst I've had was a broken finger, although I broke it all the way through the joint which required them to put pins to make it grow right and I had a cast that went halfway up my forearm. I still cant bend it all the way, but It bends enough to not be a problem.

This. Oddly enough same quantity. More oddly, same timespan (15-21).
