[why do] people confuse campers with snipers:
A camper tries to abuse an opportunity or exploitable factor.
A sniper makes his own opportunities.
Snipers don't make their own opportunities, they look through their reticule until someone appears in it. Sniping isn't difficult, observe:
Simple reasoning: Snipers can be really far away. Sniper bullets are very powerful, especially when they hit a head. Snipers can kill someone without that person knowing about it.
These three facts equate to this: Sniping is a particularly easy way to kill people.
It's not skill based, as many people wish. There is no skill-based way to kill people in computer gaming, there won't be one until you're able to physically partake via virtual reality. I was a clan's sniper for weeks (and got the most kills) simply because, as i said to my clanmates, "I'm too damn lazy to mash the WSAD keys!"
And please don't start puking out some arguments about how "oh it takes mad skillz to get a headshot in the
heat of battle" because it doesn't, it just takes luck and a quick trigger (/left mouse button) finger (which I defiantly have)... *enemy in target
CLICKBUTTON* .... *enemy in tar
CLICK BUTTON* HEADSHOOOOTTTT BOOYAH
BOOOYYYAAAAHHHHHH
For me the worts moments in gaming history were the ones when some smartasses hacked and started running around in mid air above the map shooting everyone. Camping doesn't really p*ss me off (maybe 'cause whenever I wasted life on CS no one ever had the nerve to camp when my fist was within 10 meters)
Campers and stationary snipers are the same thing. There are no exploits in those maps, there are just places that you should not run in front of like a fool.
this is all just my opinion, if you think my
aim's a bit off, well,
