Welcome to the Escapist, friend.

If you think Howard the Duck was bad, I have two films you should see: Attack of the Sabretooths, & Starship Troopers 3: Marauder.
personally i didn't think starship troopers 3 was that bad....but then i had just watched starship troopers to about an hour before hand.....or at least part of it....now THAT is the worst film ever....especially seeing how awesome the first one was....?

Eragon was atrocious. That acting was terrible. I only ever saw it because of the dragon anyway; heh.

....or any uwe boll film....honestly...i have no idea how that guy keeps making such retarded films....
He makes them because the German government subsidizes him. Because he's a german citizen, and some other stipulations I'm sure (which he makes full use of), he can make shitty movies, and even if they tank in the international film market, he gets paid by the German government.

So basically, not only is he trying to rob your money in the box office, he's quite literally robbing german tax payers.

I'm surprised at how many people say Transformers 2 was the worst thing ever. It wasn't. It was bad, yes, but only because of what we expected from it. In this day and age, expecting Hollywood to honour a franchise is futile - they just want to squeeze as much money as possible from it. Yes, Transformers 2 did not even come close to living up to the franchise; but if you went in there to watch it as a stand-alone film, it was entertaining. There are *much* worse things on screen.

In the "so bad it's bad" category: Madagascar. I expected a Pixar-style animated film, with loads of little jokes aimed at people older than 18. What I got was an utter piece of shit. I still vividly recall at one point in the film thinking: "Okay, sweet, here comes the buildup to the final climax." At exactly that moment, the credits start rolling. That narrative was devoid of any sort of tension, and the characters were so flat I'll be damned if I can remember any of their names. Or even what animals they were.

I also must give special mention to Death Proof. That film went down the good side and came back up bad, then went so far that it came all the way back around to good. The final scene was wonderful.

I'll say this. I wasn't expecting too much from Transformers 2. My only REAL complaint, was mainly due to its length. There were SOOOO many little scenes that didn't need to be in the movie. It did not need to be almost 3 hours long... and the problem wasn't JUST the length, it was what made up the length...

Transformers 2 is probably one of the worst edited movies I've ever seen.

Max Payne still hurt me more... and I'm not even a max payne fan. I thought all the flak max payne was getting was probably from fans that didn't like what they did to their precious Max Payne franchise. I had never played a Max Payne game before and it was absolutely dreadful.

The Core. Pseudo-science fiction at it's worst - the core of the earth stops rotating even though the Earth doesn't .
And that's not even the worst part. They take the Armageddon aproach to natural disaster by using bombs to fix it despite that would be NO WHERE NEAR ENOUGH to start the Earth spinning. Also the entire premise of the movie is bunk as the Magnetic field doesn't protect us against Microwaves anyway. I could go on pointing out the mistakes in the movie (by the way count the number of pods on the ship and count how many they detatch, they're one short), but I've got to be at work in 5 hours.

Battlefield Earth. It was on TV one day and I can't believe I actually sat through it and felt worse off after the whole experience. That movie was terrible.

Fido. The story of one boy and his pet zombie, zombie played by Billy Connelly. Produced in Canada, straight to DVD and for good reason too. There were a few moments where you might sort of half-crack a smile, but there were no laughs and the damn thing dragged on for what seemed like years.

So bad it's good: Postal - I couldn't believe Boll made an intentionally funny movie. I really couldn't believe I was actually laughing.

So bad it's bad: Metropolitan - A really pretentious script about the most unlikeable bunch of trust fund preppy dbags. It might've worked if the dialog wasn't so contrived and the acting so bad. I needed to watch American Psycho after watching that.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Things I like about it: The scene where HAL is shown to be reading the astronauts' lips.

Things I didn't like: The other 140 minutes and 57 seconds.
