There are good movies, there are great movies, then there are movies that make you want to go into a homicidal rage because they are just an utter pile of human excrement. Which movies do you consider terrible and beyond redemption? Why?

My all time least favorite movie is most definetley The Spirit it was a schiziophrenic and childish version of Sin City with all the entertainment cut out, it feels like it was written by a seven-year-old with ADD who just finished watching a 48-hour marathon of Spiderman.

And to a lesser extent I dilike 2001:Space Odyssey and Apocalypse Now just because they both have good ideas, but are poorly executed and with an extremley slow pace that makes them feel more like endurance trials than entertainment.

EDIT:Added to this list:M.Night Shamalandshark movies (All of them), Transformers (And all other Micheal Bay movies), and chick flicks.

EDIT:EDIT:The X-men, Ghost Rider and Spiderman movies are also terrible IMO, especially Wolverine: Origins as one poster mentioned.

Wasn't there a thread like this yesterday? Or am I slowly growing crazy?

Anyway, I don't like most movies in general, but special mention has to go to sequels which only exist to suck more money out of the public rather than continue an actual storyline or similar.

Rubberface with Jim Carey.

It's the only movie I've ever rented that I took back the same hour that I put it into my vcr

My least favourite movies - a small selection in no particular order and for a variety of reasons, save the common one that these four possess - the ability to make me physically hurt myself while watching them:

The Transporter 2
Transformers
Pearl Harbor
Doomsday
Circus

On the other hand, a more interesting topic perhaps would be movies that everyone else seems to hate, but I like (oddly), for example:

Screamers
Cabin Fever
Natural Born Killers
Starship Troopers
Grosse Pointe Blank

I add The Happening to this list. I've never seen a movie with such bad dialoge, both in terms of its writing and its actual speeking parts, combined with unnecessarily graphic deaths that only serve to bump up it's rating to an R (and that was it's major selling point).

How did Starship Troopers make that list? Everyone I know loves that movie for its overt campiness.

No, I'm sorry. it's still Battlefield Earth. Nothing is worse than a movie about Scientology!
Strange as it all started with a science fiction novel. (or so I hear)

Holy shit, that was freaking awful. M Night used to be so good, but ever since Unbreakable all of his movies have been worse than the last. The Happening was the worst. I had no emotional connection with any charecters. Whenever a charecter died, it was more like 'Oh' than 'OMG WTF!!!'

lol, yes! Though that film will always be "so bad it's good" in my book.

I lean on White Noise, Alien 3, and Alone in the Dark as some of the worst films I've seen.

Pretty much. How anyone who admitably publishes ridiculous fiction for a living can srat a religion is beyond me...

God Damnit Lovecraft!!!!

Oh well, atleast he didn't intentionally create Cthulhu Worship as a money making scheme.

Well, I love it as do a couple of my friends. However most other people I've mentioned it too didn't seem to get the point... Maybe it's just people who live in Edinburgh!

OT I have to add 'Crank' to my 'hate', and 'Evolution' and 'Lost Highway' to the 'ones I strangely like yet nobody else seems to'
