I think I'd have to choose between mainstream pop music and death/trash/black metal.
It's not just everything pop music stands for - Rude Boy from Rihanna comes to mind, listen to the lyrics, they want to ruin all females of our society - but also the lame, uninspired instrumental stuff. Most of the time it's just a couple of 2 second beats looping for 3 to 4 minutes, with some fake tramp smearing her digitally altered voice all over it.
(Also, I helped out at a tv-station for a while - not exactly MTV, but they also played a lot of music. I got to learn a little bit about how and why it always is the crappy pop music that gets airing - quite interesting I must say, though nothing that I wasn't suspecting.)
And of course the stupid side of metal. I mean, I like me some metal: Heavy, Classic, Groove, Doom and Stoner Rock (Oh God, do I ever love me some Stoner Rock - Monster Magnet for the win). I even like a lot of fusion genres: Alternative, Folk, Industrial, Nu,... What I don't like is Speed and Power, because they eventually turned into Trash.

Also, it would seem this is not 'trash metal' but 'industrial grind', which only goes to show that you can pretty much call everything just about anything you want when it comes to music. Crazy kids and dem dubious music genres these days...

Yeah, it'd be up there for me. Although A Badly Broken Code by Dessa was released this year which is amazing, so it's hard to call. Black Sands is definitely one of my favourite songs though, I love the sound of it.strum4h said:

Metallica
Metallica is a horrible band. Why?
a)The singer can't sing.
b)The riffs are boring and predictable not to mention slow as hell.
c)The drums are most of the time slow and repeat themselves through-out the song.
d)The music is shallow and unoriginal.(Except some of their old songs, post-Kill em All is all regurgitated hard rock/ heavy metal.
e)The band members as individual musicians are bad technically compared to most other metal bands. (They sound like 12 year old students compared to most other metal bands).
f)Did I mention that the temp of the songs is slow?
Metllica are shit. They have always been shit and they will always be shit.
