Some girl I never met asked me out online, I said no, and the rest of that week, all I got was a load of spam mail.

All of it claiming she would kill herself if I didn't go out with her.

I wish I was joking...
whoa crazy internet bitches lol

just block'em

once i was playing halo and some irish guy got pissy because i beat him ( or mostly because i was a women and i kicked his ass ) =/ just blocked and moved on lol
Yeah, she left me alone eventually, but at the time it was the worst part of my day, going onto my email and finding those messages....
its so easy to spot those type of girls that would do that lol all they want is attention and someone to fuss over them at least your out of it now.

The moment I found out you could watch porn on the net for free. It was simultaneously the best and worst moment on the net.
How about that rule of the Internet? Something along the lines of "Anything you enjoyed as a child, you can be sure that someone made it into porn."

I'm not going there apart from saying that this also crushed me.
Rule 34. That killed a bit of me inside too when I heard it.

Telling a guy I was laughing at ironic circumstances. He says, care to share? and I have to admit I fancy him to share it.

Right now I could crawl away and die.

No, although Left 4 Dead does seem to have a lot of team killing going on for no reason. How it remains so popular I have no idea.
Play it on PC or not at all.
Just to amend that, play it on PC on friends only servers or not at all.

It pretty much negates the scourge of idiot team mates as everyone can vouch for everyone else. Having said that the friends only security can be bypassed on L4D, but if someone can do that they probably know the game inside out or at least have a degree of intelligence to learn it.

I haven't had any really bad moments on the net...

But I need to amp up my hacking skills in case it happens.

EDIT:

Some of my friends do have some skills... Hmmm...

It's one word if it's compounded (Rune/Scape) or hyphenated (Rune-Scape)

Bleck. I hated RuneScape. I found GuildWars somewhat close enough to emulate the feel without degrading me.

Possibly my worst experience on the interwebs: 2 girls 1 cup. Twice. Of my own volition.

Online not gaming wise being ripped off on ebay trying to buy a gift for my best friends birthday. Preordered a super hero bust for him and the guy made off with a ton of pre order money and then closed his ebay account. Was not happy about that and curbed my online shopping for a long time.

Second is being a female gamer im sure its no surprise that there are times males get ridiculous ive had to leave games from Muds to avoiding people in multiplayers just because they hear a female voice or think they are playing with a girl and go overboard with chasing them. If someone tells you they are not interested they arent playing hard to get they really just want to game.

Ok, another one for my list. It's not a "worst", but it's an "annoying".
If someone accidentally shoots me in a game, they tell me to "shoot back, because it's only fair." I'm, like, "What the hell good would shooting you do? Then we'd BOTH be hurt and be worse off.."

Then I laugh as they try to see what I mean.

Something like that sounds very common. eBay should set it up so you can't close your account until all outstanding transactions are completed.

It sounds VERY obvious...

Bloody chimpanzees.

My worst online experience can be described in one word (or is it two), RuneScape!
It's two words.
Run and Escape. The game itself is telling you to leave before you get started.

I wish they would because people left tons of angry feedback where he promised to have the busts sent out by a certain date then we came to find out the account was closed out and he was no longer a registered user. it was aggravating but made me careful when buying online now.
