If we're counting emotional pain... today. Just endured an afternoon of my father screaming at me when I tried to defend my mother when he was screaming at her. Why? Because she had to audacity to ask him why he needed to know when we were going to have dinner...

I hate my father...

My ingrown toenail operation. By the time I had the operation my toes were so f*** up that that the numbing needle didn't work because it was too swell up and thus I felt a lot of pains.

Having optic neuritis, it is an inflammation of the optical nerve I had to keep my eye completely still for a few weeks, I nearly went blind and on top of that I had to have a lumbar puncture something that I never wish to repeat.

Renal, fucking, Colic, though unless someone is bleeding out or having chest pains you do fly through triage. Fuck you broken arm guy, I'm in more damn pain than anyone else in the world right now and the doctors and nurses know it. You get some great drugs though, not that weak arse morphine.

Worst pain I've been in is when I was hit in the junk twice in a row with the same cricket ball. I think I have 3 of them now.

Red-heads generally, and my family genetically, are more resistant to anaesthetics. I'm both. Now picture my vasectomy... and a surgeon who wasn't as well read up on pain relief as I was...

Yes, it was as bad as you can imagine.

In words that wont offend too many readers..

I Missed the goal and something split. I was weeping over the bathroom sink for about 20 mins and was afraid of peeing for the following 5 days...

I've never had anything massively traumatic happen to me, but when I was 8 I had appendicitis and the pain was unbearable. Of course, my Mum just thought I was pulling a sicky to get out of school >.>

So I was in a ton of pain recently because I'm stupid. Let me explain
1. I am lactate intolerant
2. I had 2 bowls of cereal with whole milk before bed
I woke up 7 hours later in so much pain I could only lay on the floor and scream. I seriously thought about calling 911 but then realized an ambulance is exspensive (and totally forgetting the government pays for my health insurance because I'm suppossedly disabled).

The greatest medicine ever. I took twice the normal dose and was fine 30 minutes later. Still though the pain I felt while laying on the floor screaming like a ***** was massive. Basically milk causes the production of gas and since I slept during the digestion it was in a place where I couldn't get it out. It built up enough pressure to cause pure agony.

So what was the worst pain you've been in?
The worst pain I've been in was when I was eight or nine years old. One night, I went to the bathroom to urinate and there was blood in the urine. I screamed and my mother took me to go to the hospital. I had a kidney stone.

Then, a year or two later, when I was about ten years old, I got another one.

A lumbar puncture when I had bacterial meningitis as a kid. Haven't been a fan of needles ever since.

Ok, this happened to a friend but it looked like it really hurt. My friend's bike's brakes were busted, (the back one didn't work and the front one barely worked) so he used mine in a race down a gravel road, and he crossed the line and then slammed the front brake on really hard and the bike did a flip and he rolled 6 feet on sharp stones. Ouch.

I tore the ligament on one knee. Probably the ACL. It was when I was in 6th grade and I went skiing with my Boyscout troop. I was still learning on the bunny hill. I feel down about 5 times before on the 6th I did it wrong. I was just screaming out for several minutes. It took 7 months for it to heal. I went back 5 years later to face my fear.

A close second was when a doctor opened up a pilonidal cyst to let it drain. I didn't scream or anything but it hurt a lot and it hurt for awhile after he did it. I took the pain like a man. :)

I was hit by a car and broke 8 bones in my leg, as I lay in shock on the cold cement, the cop comes over and says "I'm sorry ma'am but you can't lay here, I need to keep traffic going. So he hefts me up, and my leg goes the wrong twisted way. Holy freaking hell did that hurt. He then lays me over a parked car, tells me help is on the way then goes to direct traffic around me.

been stung by an entire nest of hornets in an enclosed space? (fucking cousin =_=)

out of all that, I think the worst would have to be the hornets, as it led to me blacking out at waking up the next day in a hospital bed, to which im now 15 years later permanently scarred o_O
Yeah I was stung by a whole nest of Yellow Jackets when I was a kid. Glad I didn't remember it that well, but it did lead to a childhood fear of bees. I think I did end up blacking out and going to a hospital for it. Any time a Bee would fly near me I would start having a panic attack. So yeah I feel your pain!

I have since gotten over it. Hopefully you have too?

Hmm...Not sure, but the most pain I've been in in recent memory ws this one time last summer where I had Ramen for the first time. I dunno if I'm allergic to something in it, or if I got food poisoning, but all I know is that something connected to it woke me up at 2 AM with insane abdominal pain. I was curled up on the bathroom floor groaning in pain for 2 hours, wishing someone would knock me out, and wondering if I should induce vomiting.

....Needless to say, I am not keen to eat any more Ramen, especially not at that place.
