The Pokemon games. I'm sorry but I don't get what makes people come back to them over and over again. I played the original blue/red and then skipped ahead and out of curiosity picked up leaf green, and recently borrowed Soul Silver from someone. And after 5 hours in...I'm bored. There isn't a huge change between each game, its just new pokemon, same formula (to a terrible fault, I mean Jesus Christ why do I still have to go find cut, rock smash, flash etc) with little stuff that really isn't necessary to throw in. Seriously getting called every 5 minutes and having some twat tell me how awesome his rattata is, is way worse than having Roman call me in GTA4 asking me to go to a titty bar.
Same stale formula of you attack enemy attacks, rinse repeat, hell there are points in the game where I'd get challenged to a fight and just spam A while watching TV. I'm sure against other players there is strategy on pokemon types, and other factors, but the single player is the same rehashed garbage over and over with just a few tiny pointless things/gimmicks thrown in each game.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, hands down, IMO.

EA completely dismantled the tech tree and base building. I've played C&C since I was 7 years old, and they completely destroyed the basic building premise, which the series HELPED TO DEFINE IN RTSs. I couldn't even finish the game. I ended up reading how it ended on a wiki. I honestly don't know why they changed it. They kept C&C 3 and its expansion the same, and I liked them a lot. Kane's Wrath (the expansion to C&C 3) was probably the best RTS port to a console I've ever played (as far as adapting the controls went), and I loved the story. I played Command & Conquer 4, and after the third level, I just couldn't take it anymore. A bit of my childhood died that day.

Also, as for KotOR 2, on its own, I think it's actually a decent game. When compared to KotOR 1, it doesn't hold up. Still, that isn't Obsidian's fault, it's Lucas Arts'. Lucas Arts wanted it out before the Christmas season and forced it through. That lead to a ton of cut content, which, luckily, was recently almost completely restored by independent modders. It's a lot better now.

I never got to play Neverwinter Nights 2. I always wanted to but just never had the time and now I don't have it anymore.
Is that because you never bought it or because there is a GAME STOPPING BUG IN THE FIRST FUCKING CHAPTER THAT STILL WASN'T PATCHED AFTER FIVE FUCKING YEARS?

Far Cry 2. Took a fun open colourful openworld/sandbox style shooter from far cry and created a poo brown boring overly vehicled pile of arse.

I remember playing the crap out of Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced, and when A2 came out years later, my reaction was just a big ol' "meh"

Wait I lied! Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers was HORRIBLE.

Fable 2. I loved number 1 but hated number 2. The weapons and armour sucked.

Red Dead Redemption...
Didnt even know there was a first one....
I have it the other way around...
Fable 1 had some Charm, but there was just something missing. For me Fable 2 got closer. Fable 2 ended up becoming my favourite game..... But hey, lets hope that fable 3 will get the love of all (even though there is not a big chance ^^)

Y'all got nothing on Perfect Dark Zero. Perfect Dar got everything right, you'd think a better controller, better hardware, etc would at least mean it's just as good, but no, this game managed to drop the ball on all points.

The goddamn dwarf who wasn't there and had to be manually installed despite the game auto-patching for twenty goddamn minutes after five fucking years as a retail product.

I've never heard of anyone having this problem. I've never had this problem. <.< and I never patched the game. Do tell me more though. I'm curious about manually installing a character into the game.

Red Dead Redemption...
?? why do you say such things?
'Cause they're true?

OT: There are a number of bad sequels. Especially in gaming. However, film takes the cake for "worst sequels ever". I point you to some of my favorites. ....and by favorites, I mean some of the worst sequels ever.

BATMAN & ROBIN
Troll 2
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Jaws: The Revenge
Highlander 2
Son of the Mask
XXX: State of the Union

...to name a few. Though they don't hold a candle to the worst films ever. Most of which were made by Uwe Boll.

This thing here, man. Maybe it was different before patches, maybe they've fixed it in the past six months, but for a sequel I'd been wanting to play for years since I didn't have the hardware, it was a serious kick in the teeth.

At least it triggered an improperly installed bios and led me to getting a good laptop, but I haven't gone back and I'm not sure I ever will.

Gears of War 2

No Explanation needed
I'd like one for Gears of War 2 I thought it was a fantastic sequel!
Mutiplayer has horrible lag, glitchs that took a year and half to fix (some are still there even), and is just unfun

Single player had some awful level design and choices (See all of Act 3)

Survival mode is the only good thing it has going for it.

I don't think I saw anyone say this:
Bioshock 2
the story was a train wreck. the first one was set up as the Industrial Ryan, who set up a moralless society but with restrictions and an unbalanced government versus the Finacial Fontiane, who raises a rebellion of the scarred and regetted members of the society funded by his different buiseness ventures legal and illegal. But in the sequal, it pretends like there was a third party there the whole time, who has the other to affriad, and is characterized with little depth.
Aside from that not all bad
