Well, I can't say MW2 because I never actually played it - but well, that's because they're still trying to charge £39:99 for 6 hours of game (for me.) But from what I heard of the plot, I was pretty damned disappointed.

You know what? Fallout 2. I loved Fallout 1, and Fallout 2 gave me a frakking stick and told me to go fight beetles, and it was so full of utterly arbitrary 'YOU FAIL' segments that it just plain infuriated me.

Devil May Cry 2. Oh my god, that game RUINED DMC for me. I couldn't even begin to appreciate DMC 3 because of that game.

You never had a problem with building a ranged character, then getting asked to punch a guys lights out in the very beginning? >.> my first time through, I could not beat him..

But heres a bad sequel. Disciples 3. It's a complete waste compared to 2.

Not really. I stacked int/cha and told him I've obviously passed since I got to him. He agreed. The tough bit was getting past the scorpions to him, especiallyif they poison you. I didn't have melee or unarmed skill, so it was like 30% chance to hit. I made the stupid mistake of assuming that, like in fallout 1, they'd at least give me a frakking gun.

Red Dead Redemption...
Really? I thought Revolver was the worse of those two.

For me, it's Wing Commander Prophecy (seriously did WC4 need a sequel?), Final Fantasy X-2, and Blood Omen 2.

BO2's fun and all but seriously has no purpose in the over all story.

Well, I don't really care about the sports games, because there are a segment of people who genuinely enjoy them, and if they are perfectly willing to spend their money on the new game every year, that's none of my business.

I will say, however, that the most disappinting sequel I've ever played would be FarCry 2. The game was absolutely beatiful to look at, and I found an almost endless supply of amusement with the fire physics. However, between a lack of incentive to progress the story and the added fact that in 13 minutes I came across 7 checkpoints that all unfailingly ended in a shootout, the game just wasn't that fun.

Gotta be Mercenaries 2. Seriously the gulf in quality between game 1 and 2 has never been greater, though Perfect Dark Zero comes awfully close.

Far Cry 2. Took a fun open colourful openworld/sandbox style shooter from far cry and created a poo brown boring overly vehicled pile of arse.
I'll admit that everything in Far Cry 1 up until the mutants was better than all of Far Cry 2, but as a whole I enjoy FC2 more, so sue me.
Could i sue someone over that? The charge is one cake. But i agree witrh you on mercenaries as well. So we shall just call it one slice.
Methinks the case expenses would outweigh any eventual gain. Perhaps we should settle out of court.

Mercenaries 2 was a minor letdown, but a few good elements saved it from the scrappy heap.
Really? Like what? Seriously the only ways I can think of is maybe the way it's more sunny, and swimming. I'm not even sure the car handling is even any better.

And don't get me started on those arbitrary multiple QTE's on every enemy vehicle...
Nukes. Loooootsss of nukes :D

Oh and the Fuel Air Launcher, an RPG that fires mini fuel air bombs, totally awesome.

And the motorcycle with two miniguns.
And the sports car with a foldout Missile launcher.
And the Devastator ;P

I don't think you can really get much worse than the Rayman series. Three absolutely classic platformers, a fourth one in development, everyone's crazy excited, then suddenly... (terribly) motion controlled repetitive minigame compilation!

The Rayman Raving Rabbids series is supposed to be a spinoff, and they're making a classic Rayman game now anyway.

Oh aye, I know, I'm insanely hyped up for that. But IIRC, wasn't Raving Rabbids originally supposed to be a fourth platformer in the series, and a trailer was released to that effect, but at some point they completely changed tack and created the abomination that is Rayman Raving Rabbids?

Well, the final product was a spinoff regardless, so I don't see the problem.

Also, here's a tip: there's a little thing called opinion. Saying a game is an abomination is fine, but try 'I think the game is an abomination.' That way, you don't come off as pretentious. Not that I'm saying you are you are, of course.

... I hated Red Dead Revolver...
OT: Deus Ex Invisible War it just took out everything that made Deus Ex great... I don't know what Warren Spector was thinking...
*Sigh*...Leave it to Sacman to ninja mah' D.E.I.W.

OT: Splinter Cell series after Chaos Theory. It was just turned into a generic shooter, and stealth became a gimmick.

San Andreas. I know everyone here is like "San Andreas good, GTA4 bad.", but San Andreas was Vice City with extra features and variations. GTA4 took a shot with entirely different gameplay which I actually enjoyed because the previous games had a SHIT load of inherent gameplay flaws (like trying to play the game without cheats, getting 3 stars means you're fucked etc.)
