Worst Skyrim Gameplay commentary EVER!

Yeah those guys weren't very good, but I was more distracted by the gameplay;

*Combat still looks stiff and boring.

*Shouts don't seem very different to magic, just stronger.

*Graphics don't look that impressive compared to games that have come out years ago.

*I have a bad feeling dragons are just going to be cliffracers...but stronger.

I wouldn't comment on the Graphics just yet as the video was bad quality. but those two guys i mean wow >.> tree people, calling the shout "magic" , saying it was the duel handing feature. I hope they get strung up and shot =D

Oh and I hope you are not comparing the Graphics with games like COD or racing games, because that's hardly fair =p

Well personally I don't realy care that much about graphics but many people here keep frothing over the graphics in Skyrim and I really don't see why, there's nothing special about them.

Is this a "Nerds point at normal people and laugh" thread? Because I don't really get it what's wrong with their commentary. Then again, I might have been too distracted by the Trailer itself.

I don't see what was so bad about it? If any thing I'm looking forward to it more now. You have to bare in mind that when people release game play like this, they tend to try and keep the camera as smooth as possible to showcase the graphics. Which does have the unfortunate effect of making boring game footage.

What are you talking about? That commentary was witty and entertaining. What more do you ask? It's the gameplay itself that matters anyway.

Granted, the commenters didn't seem to KNOW much about Skyrim that hasn't been revealed already - but who DOES? It won't be out for weeks yet! Those guys were not trying to provide a professional review - they were simply sharing their experience with us as fellow gamers. And I, for one, think they did a great job.

lol it looks like this was the first time they saw it, and they could at least get it right and not call Shouts "Magic" or not make it to obvious that they haven't played the previous like calling them tree people >.> or saying they haven't seen these before.(they where in the previous 2 TES games)

well what ever the case, you can find the full video with http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/137?ch=1 but Its like 20min long with a bunch of other games, but it is the official one so no more bad commentary. As I said its a 20min because its a full ep of GTTV

In the meantime, does anyone know where I can find an extended version of this footage somewhere? You know, instead of just bits and pieces?

My thoughts exactly. I mean, for fucks sake, people, there's way worse commentary out there. I was expecting them to be ripping the game to pieces while showing awesome gameplay footage. All I got was sub par commentary. No, you know what? It wasn't even sub par. It was descent. It sounded like it was from the point of view of someone that had little-to-no experience with previous Elder Scrolls games, and the community needs some commentary like that. Some of you people need to lighten the fuck up and stop criticizing ever damn thing you see.

Literally the only issue I saw was them mistaking a Shout for a spell, which isn't that bad of a mistake.

Grammarnazi has entered, you misspelled "Decent" as "Descent". They didn't realize the tree people were Spriggan, they thought being able to cast spells and wield a weapon at the same time was a new feature.

You'll have to explain your point even better, because it seems to me that it's two people who are interested in gaming getting enthusiastic about a game from a series they're not familiar with.

In fact, this is proper game journalism as it has two people who don't have preconceived notions about what an elder scrolls game should be, and looking at it from a neutral, non-fanboy point of view.

I thought their commentary was fine, and the gameplay was interesting too. Loving the environments, spells and combat.

Uh... that wasn't that bad. A bit derpy, but not the horror you're making it out to be.

They mistook the shouts for offhand spells and apparently didn't know what the dryad(?) thing was. Big deal. Getting uppity about it makes you sound like a bit of a ponce.
