We just talked about the worst movies, so what about the worst songs? The worst song I've heard is this song called "Turn off The Lights" but I don't know the artist unfortunetly.

Nelly Furtado, perhaps? Only artist I know with a song titled that, at least.

As for myself, I've heard plenty of songs I don't like and plenty I think are just bad, but what I think takes the cake is and always will be "Freaxxx" by BrokeNCYDE.

The only one that comes close is one that I always forget...

Yep, that about covers it.

Honestly, whenever I come across a song that elicits "Worst ever" in my mind, it's usually because it's just dull or boring. Nothing going on.

Running Wilds Shadowmaker album is a great example.

I respond much better to something like the above mentioned Design The Skyline if only to listen to how crazy awful it is and sort of revel in it. I once got on a Despised Icon binge listening to "MVP" at least once a day for a month due to how incredibly hilariously bad it was.

I'unno, I'm weird.

Since somebody took Design the Skyline from me, I'd have to say this:

This damn song, usually I hate songs that are dull, boring, or pretentious- but this little gem was apparently assigned to me via curse, spell or just bad karma. I'm not kidding when I say this particular song played on the radio every time I was out and about driving with my ex. Didn't matter if I changed the station, eventually the radio would pick it up again. To this day it's an inside joke between the ex and I.

I already despised Kesha (and most modern pop singers)... I guess this was her way of reminding me who's ridiculously rich and who's the music critic living on minimum wage and ramen.

Hahaha, I came into this thread just to mention this terrible, terrible travesty of a song. BrokenCYDE is terrible as well, but at least they don't have that shitty, SHITTY(!) autotune. That is their one and only tiny little positive.

I think Whip My Hair took the prize for me. Holy cow, what an annoying song.

The remix version of Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" featuring Chris Brown. The original was awful with a repulsive beat and a horrible tendency to repeat "Cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake", the song's also very difficult to listen to because once again Rihanna's delving into the whole "Have sex with me I still like guys" thing she started after the assault. But at least the original version was only a minute and a bit long. I thought S&M was bad, but that at least had the decency to be catchy without well, "blowing the candles out".

The remix is three times as long and has two guest verses from Chris Brown usually talking about having sex with Rihanna and "giving it to her in the worst way" (<--- seriously!?). I'm really glad that this song wasn't successful.

This thread gives me Brokencyde nostalgia back when there was a thread every other day about how bad they were. I wouldn't be surprised if a third of the views on Freaxx comes from Escapists :p.

Oh God why!?

My personal choice is anything by Boards of Canada. Unlike what most people say this is a genuinely good band to the people who like its style, I just despise it's style with the wrath of 10,000 suns.

To me, personally, I hate all Adele songs for sounding the same, and being mopey, with her overrated voice. However, I think I have 3 that qualify as joint worst:
Fine China by Chris Brown (mainly for the idea behind it, and the whole "I'm not dangerous" line)
N****s in Paris: shittiest rhymes, most irritating beat, just awful
That respect and obey authority thing by those brainwashed kids.
In general, modern rap should be a gold mine for this thread since all it does is talk about some new dance or how awesome the rapper is. I was never a huge fan of proper rap music, but at least they had something good to say...

On reflection whilst typing, I think Kanye and Jay-Z take it due to the line: "That shit Kray, ain't it Jay? What she order, fish fillet?"... just... just shocking...

This dance/ trance song that actually used a rubber song in their song! I think it was called The Rubber Duck song! When I mean using it in the song, they were sort of using it as a instrument!

Radioactive- Imagine Dragons

I know its not the worst song for everyone, but it just greets on me so much, nothing sounds right, everything that beat through the song sounds wrong and that breath in near the beginning of the song actually my spine have a cold shiver

I don't know I might stop hatting it, which is great since could carry on hatting this song

I didn't even want to get the URL's for these songs they make me feel this bad

Holy hell.

I came here just to pick up the terrible stuff and scare people with it, and then this happened. Why do people make videos like that? Who considers this random noise to be music and anywhere near enjoyable? Why are they not very, very ashamed of themselves?

I won't be able to sleep tonight.

They're killing metal, wrapping it in plastic and turning it into some kind of malleable, gooey slimy something. Bastards.

Now I'm not sure if this song was trying to be bad on purpose or just natural turned out this way-whatever the reason here it is:

Let me get this off my chest first. There's a person here who I will laugh at. Hah-hah. SO, with this out of the way...
