Just remembered the sound of an Aliens vs. Predator motion detector :)

whop, whop, whop, beep, whop, beep, beep, beep, tick tick tick tick, beep, beep, beeeeep --> alien headhunting slime ball stuck to my HUD trying to suck out the screen...

This isn't technically inside the game, but the most annoying sound to hear during a game is probably the Windows error tone as your game crashes, destroying those past three hours of grind because you forgot to save.

Someone must have said this by now, but I ABSOLUTELY HATE those moments in Half-Life 2...

*Beep, beep, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep........"

YES, I KNOW I'M DEAD, BUT I HAD NO IDEA I WAS HOOKED UP TO A HEARTBEAT MONITOR.

The sound my Xbox makes after I've thrown it against the wall because while playing a game its frozen because I havn't cleaned the speckle of dust off the godamn thing and its just given me the red rings of death. Or the scream the Witches in L4D make, Jesus Christ.

The Tank music in Left 4 Dead, but THERE ISN'T A TANK AROUND!

That's when you start shitting yourself and frantically run around trying to find a place to hide.

For a sound that ticks me off however it would have to be the noises that the "zombies" in stalker made. They didn't sound like zombies they sounded like someone doing a retard impression.
Well.. the zombies in Stalker weren't technically dead either, remember? Just stalkers having their brains scorched..

Also, how would anyone know what a zombie sounds like...?

For me it has to be the headshot sound in gears, and it's your head all over the pavement :(
That was the best noise evvAARRRR!!

Bad noises, prolly the sound in Metroid Prime when you walk in the room and you think everythings all right, then the Chozo Ghost music comes on, and you're like "shit,I just killed you!!"

Dialoged that gets repeated over and over again. It doesn't matter what game or whose saying it, it bugs the hell out of me. Also, when six different characters all have the same voice. And they're all talking to each other. And repeating the same dialoged over and over again.

Or that generic "shickum" sound.
I'm not sure if it's the same "Shikum" sound, but the noise of a Psi-attack in Sid Meyer's Alpha Centauri annoys me because I'm constantly noticing the exact same sample being used in films and on TV... usually prior to a massive fiery explosion. Honestly, you'd have thought massive Hollywood films could afford to make their own sounds rather than use old stock effects.
People still play Alpha Centauri?
I remember playing that game years ago and it was old then.
It was kind of awesome though.
